  1. Enjoying your review so far, my wife and I did the Sydney to Hawaii leg on the Solstice, I'm with you in wondering what would happen in the event of a real emergency as most people at the life boat drill weren't taking any notice at all and had the attitude "it was just something to get through" ... aside from that we enjoyed ourselves.

    cheers

  2. Currently at Sydney Airport way too early for my flight to Ayers Rock. Taxi, bag left at luggage storage, checked in and through security in 50 minutes from leaving hotel.

Question for you, bearing in mind the incidents at Brussels airport and environs, how is it each time, and I mean EACH time I boarded Solstice I had to be 'patted down' whereas here nothing, just sailed through?

It could be all your own fault Linda... maybe an attractive lady such as yourself just brings out the desire to "pat you down" in the security man at the Solstice gangway...:)

  3. I know it must be sad to depart BUT its time for Solstice to come home to America from its vacation Down Under.....Sorry Aussies and Kiwi's but I have Premium Drinks and Specialty Dining to attend to so say Sayonara to Solstice as our 14 day date is looming! :D

We're looking forward to "bringing her home" to your waters... only 19 days to go...but who's counting..:)

    cheers

  4. I've already asked this elsewhere but you may be able to cast some light on it as well... I use a CPAP machine, and was wondering how I plug it in as there are no power points by the bedside (apparently) so do I bring an extension lead or what ?

    cheers

  5. Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and as I said in my title "new to cruising" my wife and I are all booked on the April 9th cruise from Sydney to Honolulu, looking forward to it very much.

I'm hoping to learn much from your experiences & knowledge.

    cheers
