  1. I'm pretty sure they were kidding.

Are you saying that "Turkey cured pig side or back meat " is real? Sure, you can make sausage out of anything - people have been doing that for years --- but for something to be bacon it comes from a pig.

Just because some glib advertising copy writer comes up with a way to scam the public you do not have to go along with a melting down of our language. Call the damn stuff what it is: artificially flavored chopped turkey remnants molded, artificially colored, and shaped into strips which resemble bacon.

If it is illegal to call carbonated white wine "champagne" just because it looks a bit like champagne, bacon should surely be given the same protection.

  2. I have a torn meniscus in my left knee. Right now, my orthopedist thinks that PT will take care of it. My cruise sails on October 16th, and I am seeing the orthopedist again on the 13th. He will make a final decision then regarding surgery, but said that in any case he will give me a cortisone shot to help "protect me" on the cruise. As someone stated above, walking irritates it, but nothing that OTC meds can't handle. I am wearing a knee brace that my PT recommended, which also helps a great deal. Tell your Dr. your concerns about the cruise. Good luck!

  3. Hello. We are sailing on the Norwegian Jade in October. We have prepaid gratuities. My question is this. On Royal Caribbean, since we had a fixed dining time, we have always given an additional tip to the waiter and assistant waiter on the last night of the cruise. However, on NCL, since there is no set dining time, I assume we will have a different wait staff each night. How do you additional tipping for wait staff? Thank you. Jerry & Jill C.
