Are there any all inclusive or day passes available in Grand Cayman? I do know they just re-opened....also heard that 7 mile beach has eroded some..... curious if the public beach is still an option? 

Always pay the Early Bird Check In on Southwest. Definitely worth the $15 in my opinion. Usually get A boarding as well.

Hi Everyone! I just got my room assignment today for the Epic. Turns out it is on the 11th floor all the way forward. (first inside room) Has anyone stayed all the way forward? How much does the boat move? This isn't my first cruise but I usually stay more mid. Thanks for any help!!

I just got off the Getaway and we tipped a few of the waiters by the pool deck on top of our prepaid. I will say I never went thirsty. They went out of their way to make sure they new us, our drinks and I always had them asking if we needed anything else. But it most definitely isn't required. [emoji4]

I am also sailing on 5/1 on the Getaway and got my room assignment. 10122. Front of the ship starboard side. A little nervous because this is only my second cruise. Not really sure what to expect! :eek: But at least I know where I will be. :D

I am playing the waiting game too! I am sailing on the Getaway on 5/1 and check like 3 times a day. I check the edocs and it just says StateRoom GTY - Deck 0. :eek: LOL

I am on going on NCL - Getaway 5/1 with a stop in Belize! :)

Woo Hoo! Congrats! I'm on the same sailing with a few of my friends. I upgraded from a studio to a balcony. I can not wait!! It will be my first time on NCL and only my second cruise. :)

Take a look at Almaplena. it's further south, along the coast not the malecon like the other beach clubs and the sea grass, if present at all, is less likely due to current flow. That said, Maya Chan, just south of the malecon but not as far as Almaplena, does rake their beach daily. And the malecon beach clubs just had a major dredging of the shore's floor by the Mexican Government which removed tons of the stuff. None there when I was there in January and both the folks at Nohoch Kay and Steve at Tropicante said they hadn't had any sea grass since the dredging was done.

 

If you'd prefer an AI along the malecon, I recommend Nohoch Kay, which you book through Island Marketing. Good food and good service and limited number of guests. YaYa Beach and Pez Quadro also have AI packages, but you are in the middle of the malecon and neither are exclusively AI like Almanplena, Maya Chan and Nohoch Kay.

I am traveling with my friends and their two kids. This will be all of our first time in Costa Maya. Any suggestions on a beach club close to port and clear water? No sea grass. Also great for small children. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

Did you get assigned to one of cheaper cabins?

I originally booked a studio. My friends booked an assigned balcony. I upgraded to a guaranteed balcony. I was just wondering if I had a chance of getting an assignment near my friends.....I am good either way, well because I will be in a balcony. :)

We just returned from the Getaway yesterday. We had a large family group going (12 people). A few had room numbers assigned and one couple did not. They ended up getting a room right next to ours.

 

We were all deck 10, balcony.

Hi there! We are traveling with family members' date=' so a total of 3 cabins. Two of us originally had inside rooms, 1 had oceanview and we all later upgraded to guaranteed balcony. We were all assigned our cabins at different times, mine being the last assigned, approximately 2 1/2 weeks prior to sailing (we leave on the 3rd of April). We were assigned deck 8 and the other 2 were assigned deck 12. Hope that helps.[/quote']

This is my first time cruising on NCL and first time with a guaranteed cabin. Has anyone had any experience with having a guaranteed room and friends with an assigned? I am wondering if they ended up placing you near them. I am in a balcony guaranteed, so I am not concerned at all. Just curious. Thanks! :)

I am cruising on May 1st and I just upgraded from a studio to a guaranteed. Waiting to hear on my room assignment. I did ask the agent about obstructed views and she said oh no I would be just fine on the Getaway. Glad to see someone did get lucky with higher decks as my friends have an assigned balcony on 12.
