So, you could share Carnival's rates with your group, but leave it up to the individual member of the group to see if they would be better off booking on their own.

Old Fart Cruisers, can you guide me to where you found the group information on their website.  I am unable to locate the section you quoted.  I would like to share it with our other organizers.   Thank you

My high school class tried to do this for our 35th reunion. Only 2 people ended up actually cruising...not sure how many actually booked and then couldn't go (I know of 2 for sure).

Someone local (we sailed from NOLA) was able to meet with a travel agent and get all the info so she could post it on our class FB page. It was only a 4 day cruise to Cozumel and back.

Hope your reunion turns out much better than mine did.

We have found that including all the years that were at the school with us gets us a better result for attendance. So we will do that again.  Maybe try that.  Many times this helps siblings attend together.

Maybe you could offer both if you have a large enough group.  Some of your classmates might have casino and/or other special rates available to them that would be better than any group rates that Carnival would offer.  So, you could share Carnival's rates with your group, but leave it up to the individual member of the group to see if they would be better off booking on their own.

  4. Hello, my high school class wants to plan a cruise for a group in 2025. Can anyone give me ideas on the best way for us to do this. Would it be better if people just booked individually or would we contact the cruise line and ask them to assist thank you in advance.

Thank you for that!  I am feeling so much better today.  My doctor prescribed Paxlovid and it really seems to be helping.  In fact, I think I may have turned a corner as I feel almost completely recovered.  I’m just trying to make sure my DH doesn’t get it now.  We haven’t been within 15 ft of each other for days, there are Lysol wipes and spray placed strategically around the house, we even set up a little transfer table for right outside the door to the CoVid ward (our bedroom), much like the cruiseships do.  I just order what I want on my iPad and I get a knock on the door when it is on the table outside.  😂

I’m actually spending a little time outside today with my DH 15 ft away and upwind from me, we are masked (in case I’m still infectious) and listening to some uplifting music.  Life is good …
We had our Alaska cruise on the Discovery canceled.  Everyone we know onboarding is sending us videos and photos so we still feel like part of all the fun!  We obviously have very wonderful friends!  They’ve made this so much easier for us.

Just stay aware of your symptoms.  Paxlovid rebound can occur and symptoms can of Covid-19 again

Even if you don’t want to get off the ship you will still need to test to get on the ship. Just like needed yellow fever vaccine for cruises with Devils Island even if you don’t want to go ashore

I get that part. I actually have to take a Covid test every day for work due to my workplace rules (regardless of vaccination status) , so that does not bother me in the slightest.

My question was about the testing kits and the televisits, if you can buy one box and it is good for multiple people, or if each person must purchase their own test kit in order to have the televisit.

The Canadian rules are still a mess, so I think it will be a nice quiet ship evening on the balcony.

  7. I have been reading through all the pages, and posts and lets just say I am confused more than ever.

On the Princess website it states that we can order the Optum or Readas test kits and they are acceptable.

Do I have to order one test kit per person, or if I order the pack of 3 test kits (6 total) can my entire family use this for the televisit?.

If my departure date is on the 5th of the month would we take the test on the 4th or the 3rd?

Does anyone have any experience with the televisit? What happens? Are they watching and waiting with you for the entire 15 minutes?

We are going into Canada, but I think we will end up staying on the ship and skip the hassle.

Thank you in advance to all who answer my questions.

    I appreciate the assistance.

  8. My daughter is going on the Davina next month on the Holistic Holiday cruise.
she has never cruised this line

She is asking if anyone can give her some suggestions or comments such as

What I wish I knew about on the cruise that I learned later that I could have done/seen.

if you don’t book an excursion can you still go and explore the town , do they have shuttles?

    any other suggestions?

they will be in San Juan Puerto Rico,

Phillipsburg St Maarten and St Johns Antigua and Barbuda

    thank you

  9. my daughter (a vegan) is interested in this cruise. Does anyone have any knowledge good or bad about this cruise?

I am not familiar with this cruise line and thier ships. This cruise would be on th Davina on March of 2019.

    Thanks you for any information

  10. No, it is not doubled.

It was terribly slow on Crown Princess a couple of weeks ago. One sea day the server was down and because of the slow speed I only managed to use 90 of the 150 minutes combined with me using the AT&T day passes at the ports. There were four ports.

I didn't think so but I wanted to be sure before I gave someone and answer. Thanks to All!
