I see you are going in August. You have a good chance to get pretty far, though not as close as the small boat excursion. Guess you have an excuse to do another cruise if you don't make it.
Thanks. That’s exactly what I am thinking! [emoji38]

Thanks everyone. I guess I will have to cross my fingers that Explorer will be able to get as close as it can be at Tracy Arm.

Our itinerary shows that we will only be in Tracy Arm from 7am to 12 noon on our way back to Seattle.
If we take a local tour from Juneau to visit Tracy Arm then we might have to give up our visit Mendenhall Glacier.
I checked our roll call as well but it is pretty quiet so far.

It is usually listed under Juneau excursions. Perhaps call?
Thanks. I read every single excursion offered online on Explorer but nothing was listed. I called RCL and the rep said if it is not online then they don’t offer it.
I just feel odd because it is kind of a must do for going into Tracy Arm.

I have heard a lot of about catamaran excursion at Tracy Arm Fjord but was unable to find this excursion for our upcoming cruise on Explorer of Seas. Is there a reason?

Thanks a lot. I will give it a try. Hopefully I can take advantage of this Kids Sail Free Promo one more time. [emoji28]

My daughter will be turning 13 on the third day of a sailing which I would like to book. May I know whether I should enter her age as 12 or 13 when I book online?

We were on Harmony last August, my daughter was 12 and weighted 73 pounds before the cruise. She wanted
to try the zip line so badly but the minimum limit is 75 pounds. Crew would not let her do it on Day 1 but suggested her to eat more during the cruise and try again toward the end of the cruise.
After having steaks and frites for several nights and double desserts after each meal, she tried again on Day 5. She was barely 75 pounds at first but the crew member weighted her again after she put on the harness which gave her a couple more pounds. She did it for a few times and then she was done with it and called that a mission accomplished.
My suggestion is to check with different crew members at different time.
Wish you luck and enjoy your cruise!!

Our family of 4 (kids are 10 and 11) cruises on Anthem a couple of times. Once in a balcony to New England and once in the interior room to the Bahamas. We opted for the room lies horizontal in the center of the ship. We find the room sizes are about the same for both. The only difference is of course there is no balcony in the interior room. We will go for the interior room if we are sailing during the Winter and to the Caribbean. Plus, it will be much safer to stay in the interior room if you are sailing with small kids. Hope this helps! Happy cruising!! [emoji16]

We had cabin 10729 on Harmony last August. My kids of 10 and 11 love it and spent a lot of time sitting outside. I myself enjoyed watching the Aqua Theatre shows as well as the rehearsals from the balcony.
We sailed in ocean view balcony before and my kids only stepped out once or twice during the cruise. Plus I don’t feel comfortable leaving the kids outside on the ocean view balcony but this is completely different with the boardwalk balcony. I allowed my kids to sit outside on their own to people watch or play with their devices.
For noise level, I don’t find it noisy as long as the balcony door is closed and locked. I love the boardwalk balcony room as long as it is the last cabin at the end. I booked the same cabin for our 2019 Symphony cruise. [emoji41]

I think you meant to put this in the Roll call for this cruise (I'm assuming Dec 14th, we are on that cruise too!) The roll call for this is here:

We have a 12yo daughter and 10yo son as well ;)

Forgot to mention, we will be heading to Universal at Port Canaveral. We have rented a car which only costs less than USD$30 for the day. Just need a little extra time in the morning to pick up the car and return it at night and then Uber back to the ship. That’s the best cost saving option that I can find so far. Parking at Universal will be $20 for the day.

Thanks for the info. Just got a quote of $7.99 from Park N Go for our August 2018 sailing, which is almost half the price of the port parking.

The Port Everglades port parking website states that oversized vehicle will be charged $19 per day. Does any one know if they treat a mini-van (Honda Odyssey) as an oversized vehicle?
Show times on Explorer of the Seas
in Alaska
Posted
We will be sailing on EOS to Alaska in August.
I understand the ice skating performance showtimes on EOS will be allotted in accordance with the Assembly Stations. But the Production show times are allotted by dinner seating. We are doing My Time Dining, so do we just pick our own time depending on our dinner reservation?
Thanks!
