  1. Typically lobster tails are on the menu for the 2nd chic night.

We were on last week and lobster night was Wednesday, the 2nd Chic night.

Laundry isn't by the bag, it's by piece of clothing. A pair of socks is $3.00!

  2. There have been several discussions about the ability to downgrade from the classic alcohol package to the premium non-alcohol package.

I'm just off the Infinity and I can report that my butler was able to make the switch for me in about 5 minutes. I was careful to do this prior to using the package because I understand that once having used the package it can be a problem.

I was told by three different Celebrity reps that we would be able to make this change on the Summit in January. I'm glad to hear it worked for you!

  3. Just returned from 10/16 repo. No Michael Kors or Kate Spade, as a matter of fact, most of the product sold on board was from Newport News a low end catalog company! I was very disappointed in choices offered.

I thought MK or KS might be a way to spend some of my OBC! Oh well, I'm sure I can something. :)

  4. Hi, I have enough credit cards and really do not need another one. I am considering applying because it doesn't cost anything and I will get 100 OBC. I could even get one for my husband and get 200 OBC.

Am I crazy? I just wonder how many people do this for the 200 OBC. I have a very good credit rating. I probably would not use the card after 1st purchase because I have other credit cards that earn more money. I would either keep it dormant or cancel it after certain period.

    Thanks for your feedback.

We got it and have used it since for daily purchases and just pay it off each month. We will stop using it soon because we were only using it for the OBC and our cruise is in January. We did put our cruise payments on it and got double points and will end up with about $350 extra OBC just from the card.

  5. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get so much in OBC? I would like to have the problem of figuring out how to spend that much money. Have fun!

We have $885 so far on our January cruise on the Summit. $300 OBC perk, $285 from TA and $300 from our Celebrity Visa. Will probably have another $50 to $100 from the credit card before all is said and done.

  6. Untrue during our experience. Why would you want to? [emoji15] Blu's 'thing' is to serve dishes in lighter/healthier (but not rabbit food) sauces, etc.

Just asking in case there is something on the MDR menu that looks better than the Blu menu.

  7. We can choose any two perks with our booking. Right now we have OBC and gratuities and we were going to purchase the premium no alcohol beverage package when we board because we don't drink alcohol but we do want to be able to have frozen virgin drinks, bottled water and Red Bull. From what I can tell, the Classic package, that I can get a perk, for $55 per person/day, does not cover Red Bull. Anyone know for sure? I'd also like specialty coffees from Al Baccio.

  8. I know that I've read that people have traded in their sparkling wine that is left in the room for something different. We don't drink alcohol at all. Has anyone traded it for OBC or anything else? I figured we could give it to someone but thought I'd ask if anyone has traded it for anything besides a different wine.

  9. I'm sorry if this answered somewhere, I've searched and haven't found an answer. If I go with the Premium package that includes bottled water, can I get more than one bottle at a time from a bar? I know I've read where you can't order more than one alcoholic drink at a time but haven't seen an answer specifically for bottled water. I might also want to get two Red Bulls at a time as well.

  10. Hi, rsail203.

We sailed the Summit in 1138 this past November prior to the recent dry-dock and new patio and movie theater addition above. WE LOVED IT! The cabin is conveniently located to aft elevators, the sunset bar, the buffet, and to Blu. We had no smoke or soot problems. You can hear some noise/music from the bar below when out on the balcony but we actually enjoyed sitting on the private balcony in the evenings and listening to the music below. We didn't hear anything in the cabin with the door closed. You will have both sun near the railing and shade near the door. We have booked the cabin next door 1140 for a cruise in October and we only hope we like it as well as we did 1138. Enjoy your cruise!

We have 1140 booked for our January cruise. Let us know how it was!
