I have been researching the same thing. I sent several emails to my PVP on this, but never got a reply. I finally booked early saver to be sure I got the room I wanted, but I never want to leave $$$ unclaimed.

I was very surprised to get a refund. We had prepaid tips and cruise cash and a credit card for any overages. I was sure we had spent it all, but more $ was in there somewhere. We used the casino advice to use up the remaining balance. It's a refund mystery.

We received a check for our balance also. Small amount left that we thought we had spent. Nice surprise.

We have also used EZ Cruise Parking. Slightly slower than Lighthouse and more people handle your luggage, hence more people to tip. Super nice people.

We used Lighthouse on our February Freedom cruise. Very fast both ways. The driver loaded our luggage & unloaded it. One interesting note: on debarkation day we told our porter we were using Lighthouse. He said it would be a long walk and that they were not recommending them, and in the future we should use the port parking. It was NOT a long walk. In fact it was shorter than our previous cruise. The Port of Galveston is using the porters in their parking war with other lots. It made me more inclined to never use POG parking.

I use Amex on every cruise for onboard charges.

We are cruising out of Galveston in late February on the Carnival Freedom. How early can you drop off your luggage to the porters? We are familiar with the ticket check-in times, but would like to drop off the luggage earlier so we don't have to carry it around with us.
Thanks for your help.

I check the Triumph reviews regularly right here on the Cruise Critic Boards. Click on Reviews or the Community tab underneath, then go down and click on Member Reviews, and select the ship. It lists the reviews from most recent backwards.
Hope this helps.

I'm right there with you on the Harbor House question. I've read free cruise parking, $20 cruise parking, charge for parking if booked through this or that site, no charge if booked another way. It does look like a great place to stay for a cruise, but ????

I'm very interested in this as well. I have used EZ Cruize and Lighthouse in the past; however, I am not sure if any changes have occurred since my last cruise in the service or rates.
