OP, thank you for your review of the Miracle. We are on the next Hawaiian cruise on the Miracle that they have in January, so the information you shared is etremely helpful. I am sorry you had such a bad time. Was Hawaii at least worth going to?

We are on the Carnival Miracle in January and are thinking of doing a luau in Oahu. The problem is that we leave at 11 pm, and should be back on the ship about 10:30 pm. Has anyone done a luau in Oahu, and if so, is there enough time to do one before the 11:00 pm departure? We are specifically looking at Germaine' Luau or Paradise Cove Luau. Thanks in advance for any information.

We are sailing with you. We have been discussing it on our roll call. If you want to join, there seems to be quite a bit of great info on the roll call from people who have done the cruise before. Concerning the change of itinerary, there is speculation it is due to the propulsion problems that the Miracle is having but there is no specific reason given.

We did F2F out of Charleston last October and loved it. It was worth it for me because I do not like lines. I get antsy in them. We were dropped off at the terminal and within 10 minutes were on the ship. We didn't have to wait at all and we were one of the first ones bussed over. We also were able to drop off our carryons, including our sodas, in our room as soon as we boarded and then hit the buffet before everyone and then wander the ship. It was worth it.

Concerning parking, we didn't park, but saw everyone else waiting to park. I think they allowed parking about 11:00 to 11:30. Still would be worth it for me to avoid the lines.

I saw that you did Germaine's Luau. We are planning on going. But you said that you got back to the hotel at 10:30. We are on the Carnival Miracle, which sails at 11. Would it be realistic to do Germaine's Luau in light of that?

We have cruised Carnival many times and have rarely had a balcony. There are always little nooks and crannies around the ship that are very quiet. Also, the library is almost always a great place to just relax. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the quick replies. :) I am trying to figure out if I should book the January 2015 one or not. I might anyway, but the repositioning cruise with the extra day in Maui that usually occurs in April would be wonderful.

We are looking to book a cruise to Hawaii in 2015. I talked to a Carnival vacation planner today and he said it looked like they were not going to go there anymore. However, I checked the website, and the Carnival Miracle, which is the ship that goes to Hawaii, has nothing planned past April, 2015.

Does anyone know any information on this? Any information would be helpful. TIA.
