I have written on this subject several times over the years. My wife and I enjoy bingo but like a lot of you we have stopped playing because of the terrible odds that Kingfoot has mentioned. Those of you who come back with the answer, "if you don't like the odds, don't play" are missing the point. Bingo is a fun game. Cruise ships or whoever runs the games just needs to be more fair so that when I am on vacation, I and the many other cruisers who feel as I do, have a choice of playing a fun game and not something that insults my intellience.

Thank You Kingfoot for bringing this up once again. I have been upset about this for a long time.

I just have to add my two cents to this. I know this is a Princess site but since Carnival owns Princess, i figure that I could get away with this story. We were on one of the Carnival ships and in the shop they were selling "Carnival Cruising Barbie" My wife is named Barbie, goes by Barbie and is Barbie in every sense of the word. She wanted this and i told her that I would take a $5.00 bill and bet it on blackjack. If I won I would let it ride. If it won again, I would let it ride one more time. If that won, we would have $40.00 which was enough to buy the doll. The Barbie doll now sits proudly in our curio cabinet for all the world to see.

I understand the original poster's comments about Bingo. I have written about this several times and always get the people who say simply do not play. The problem is this. My wife and I go back on cruise ships a long time when Bingo was a fair game to play. The payoffs were always different and we never felt ripped off. About 12 years ago all of the changed and it turned into probably the most profitable areas on the ship. This area is directly related to the cruise line and not a different company running the event such as the casinos. I used to enjoy a good game of Bingo and although I did not win much, I always felt like it was fair.

I like Toto and others gave this up and to this day I am still pissed off.
