John Heald posted this morning on FB that U.S. and Canadian passports will not be surrendered. Thanks for all your replies.
-
Yes we are. The email from Carnival says all passenger passports will be collected. Will probably just take drivers licenses but feel kind of naked without passports so far from home. Would hate to think we were late getting back to ship (will not happen) and ship pulls out with our passports and without us.

We are sailing on the Horizon to Italy in a few weeks and just received a notification from Carnival that we must surrender our passports to the cruise line when boarding. They will be returned at the end of the cruise. I understand this is to help the ship clear customs at scheduled ports. Normally when boarding the ship from ports you need your sail and sign card and a photo ID. Do we still need a picture ID?

The list of classes will be in the gym. They have sheets to sign up for participation. The gym is definitely most crowded the first full sea day, and then the number of people decline steadily.

I love the seaweed wrap and full body massage combo, very relaxing.

I am also going on an 8 day cruise on the Vista and received a promotion. I have enjoyed the spa treatments I have bought on previous cruises and although you do pay a premium I feel like they have been worth the money. They do offer great deals, especially if you bundle services so I think I'm going to wait until I'm onboard. Prices are cheaper on port days whenever you book.

Usually they will run specials during the week in the spa. Specifically during port days but also while you are at sea.

What method of transportation do you use to go to Eagle Beach?

Totally agree, wait and book a special. Enjoy the special treat on your cruise.

We also have stayed in a spa room and there was no eucalyptus odor in the room. As others have said, there is eucalyptus in one of the steam rooms, but that does not affect your cabin.

Thanks for the answer. I have been told that only slot players can have a dou card waiting for the them when they board the ship. I have also been told slot players who earn 5000 points on their previous sailing pre-qualify and table players have to re-earn the dou card at 1500 points on 5 days and longer cruises because "table players do not accumulate points at all". Thanks for confirming what I was told.

Cruisegirl6 you say your husband gets the dou card immediately. Does he play table games or slots?

There was a live band in the main theater for the production shows when we were on the Magic in August. They were awesome!

We were on the Elation in early October and I really enjoyed the food. We ate in the MDR every night except the last and there were plenty of choices and all of them came out nice and hot with great attention to detail. We had the brunch on sea days in the MDR, that was fantastic. I had the Mongolian Wok and deli for lunch. The last night we had the Chef's Table and it was a fantastic experience. Have a great time on your cruise.

We were on the Elation earlier this month and we did not have the box in our room, E8.

The cruise was full initially, but because of Hurricane Matthew and being delayed a day we were given the option to cancel.
-
We just got off the Elation and they opened the shops and the casino in the evening, even though we stayed overnight.

A huge shout out to Carnival for taking wonderful care of the passengers that decided to take this cruise. The ship was half full and we had a very relaxing four day trip.

We have stayed on the Empress deck on the Fantasy a couple of times. It is a great location and nwo4life is right, we never use the elevators either. Hoping to be on the Elation tomorrow, staying on the Empress deck again.

I'm sorry, I am too minimalist to keep them.

I booked the spa treatments on embarkation day, but I think you would get the discounts either way. We only heard noise from the workout room the first morning, it was a very quiet room the rest of the trip.

Tell me about your spa treatment experience
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I have had a number of treatments including massages, facials and body wraps on various Carnival Cruises. I have found the services to be excellent and have always felt like it was money well spent.
