I'm seeing zero benefit on this "sale".  Maybe if you booked long ago the prices likely went down.  I just booked my cruise maybe 3 weeks ago.  The price is higher now.

I just called .  Because I already have a cabin assigned it would go by that class and cost me $200 pp more

  2. Currently on the Viking Sky.  We can only do ships excursions.  No independent wandering allowed.  It appears a few people may have broken the rules yesterday as we got an announcement this morning reminding us that we must stay with our excursions.  Masks required on board.  They pick up the PCR tests every morning. Regardless - it has been an awesome trip after so much time of no real travel

Not sailing till 8/31 but not clear on what the "bar code" document is . Apparently needed to enter country. Can someone explain what it is. Also completed the Verfly process for proof of vaccination and both my wife and myself are verified. This is an app on my phone and hoping that showing them the approved pass on my phone is all that's needed.

You need to register at covid.is

You cannot do this until 3 days before your arrival into Iceland

Well, at least Viking will email you something at the 2 week mark which charts out what you need to do for them and for Iceland, and when.  But of course they may now need to revise/customize the letter to include testing at home.

But timing of the test might be a little tricky.  I don't even know how long it takes to get test results these days. I guess the rapid antigen tests are fast, and allowed, so perhaps that's my best bet in order to get results (not just tested) within Iceland's timeframe. I know many sites notify by text, but I'd prefer something more concrete. We'll see.

Where I live ( Phoenix area AZ) Embery womens health does free PCR testing ( and antibody testing too) all over the valley - my last set of results took 12 hours
