You can purchase water to be delivered. I found that on the website under Indulgences

My rustic search did not find anything.
How many cans or bottles ( and i understand I cannot have plastic bottles) of water and/or soda can each person bring onboard?
Thanks in advance

what are the rules on this? My cruise has dropped $800. Call HAL and they basically told me to take a flying leap. Sigh

I have a cruise on HAL in March . If they have dropped the vaccination requirement, I will be cancelling

I'm seeing zero benefit on this "sale". Maybe if you booked long ago the prices likely went down. I just booked my cruise maybe 3 weeks ago. The price is higher now.
I just called . Because I already have a cabin assigned it would go by that class and cost me $200 pp more

OK Silly me cannot figure out how the free upgrade works - do I simply choose the next lower level cabin ?

What happens if you don't purchase the extra excursions? The included excursions are only 1 1/2 hours. Are you confined to the ship for the rest of the day?
Yes

Saw on CruiseMapper that Sky has bypassed Westmann Islands and is heading straight to Reykjavik.
Yes. But nothing to do with Covid. The seas were too choppy for us to get in

I have not seen lobster. Might cross that off your list. Sigh

For those of you who are uncomfortable, you probably don’t want to know that they just announced another positive case

Are the people who were in close contact also quarantined??
No. As I said above. Retested and set about their day

Sorry to hear you have a positive (albeit asymptomatic) case. Based on the quarantines of "close contacts" we've heard about on other sailings, I would love to know if the close contacts on your ship are quarantined, even though they have tested negative.
No. They were tested and set about their day

On Viking sky. They just announced we have a positive asymptomatic case. That person is in quarantine and all close contacts have been retested and are negative

Currently on the Viking Sky. We can only do ships excursions. No independent wandering allowed. It appears a few people may have broken the rules yesterday as we got an announcement this morning reminding us that we must stay with our excursions. Masks required on board. They pick up the PCR tests every morning. Regardless - it has been an awesome trip after so much time of no real travel

Yes by USPS.
Can you post a picture. Mine were sent to my travel agency and their physical offices have been closed for over a year. I am going to print up something and go to Staples or Office depot and get laminated
Thanks

Not sailing till 8/31 but not clear on what the "bar code" document is . Apparently needed to enter country. Can someone explain what it is. Also completed the Verfly process for proof of vaccination and both my wife and myself are verified. This is an app on my phone and hoping that showing them the approved pass on my phone is all that's needed.
You need to register at covid.is
You cannot do this until 3 days before your arrival into Iceland

I just booked a helicopter tour. That is an option

Exactly where is the PCR Testing Lab located?
You need to find one in your city , state?

Well, at least Viking will email you something at the 2 week mark which charts out what you need to do for them and for Iceland, and when. But of course they may now need to revise/customize the letter to include testing at home.
But timing of the test might be a little tricky. I don't even know how long it takes to get test results these days. I guess the rapid antigen tests are fast, and allowed, so perhaps that's my best bet in order to get results (not just tested) within Iceland's timeframe. I know many sites notify by text, but I'd prefer something more concrete. We'll see.
Where I live ( Phoenix area AZ) Embery womens health does free PCR testing ( and antibody testing too) all over the valley - my last set of results took 12 hours

So is the 'bubble' gone? We can now book independent tours? If so, most tours on viator only require 24 hour cancellation for money back. I would suggest ( if someone can confirm that the bubble is gone) booking them now so they do not fill up like the ships tours did.
