Does anyone remember how much the taxi cost? I'm trying to weigh the benefit of say, shuttle express to the hotel near the needle vs taxi or uber xl. We would also be 4 with 8-10 pieces of luggage.

I'm so excited to have found this forum and this thread! We are leaving in 3 days and I have so much reading here to catch up on!!!

 

I hope someone can answer a couple of questions for me. Are you able to call back to your room from somewhere else on the ship? Like the phones you might find in hotel lobbies? I am travelling with my daughter and sister and am concerned about 3 different itineraries and being able to connect during the day.

 

Also, in the same vein, I'm unclear about the iConcierge app. If my daughter and I both have it, is there a charge for us to text back and forth with it? I think I read somewhere that there is an $8.95 charge per text, and that seems like a lot!

We got off of the Pearl in September. There were phones in the cabin and we were able to call cabin to cabin - not sure about phones other places on the ship. We used the app. It was $10 per phone for the entire cruise. It was hit or miss, depending on the connectivity to the ships wi-fi which was not consistent. One day, my inlaws missed the excursion because they weren't in their cabin and we couldn't reach them by text as their phone had disconnected itself from the wi-fi. It was a helpful tool at times but not something I would rely on. The app nor the texting feature works offship

I had trouble finding photos of the cabins myself but I did end up finding a video of one of the cabins on the Jewel. It's the twin ship for the Pearl.
