  1. OMG!!

Chefs Table is a must experience

Can you tell us a little more about it? I'm definitely considering this but $85 seems a little steep (though I do realize it comes with wine pairing which accounts for about half).

Also, if I do book it I want to be sure its not the same night as either of the formal dinners. Is there any way to know these dates prior to boarding because I'd want to book my chefs dinner soon, as to schedule it on a sea day.

  2. The Captain is pretty funny.

Yesterday as he announced before leaving port said that we would be on our way shortly. As soon as the Engineer could find the keys to start the engines.

Then today, he said something about dropping anchors, 1 or 2 of them, they haven't decided yet.

Regarding vibrations,,, last night we slept like babies.

Oh, we did have to move our clocks up 1 hour at midnight 2nd day. Prior to Katakolon

Who is your captain and do you know if he's staying on thru September? I'll be on the Sept 16 out of Venice and just curious! I'm sure they are all great as I've read the crew for this ship is great.

  3. Really great review, thanks!! I am taking the Sept cruise on Rhapsody out of Venice and cannot wait. I will attempt to keep up I am SO VERY excited for Mykonos and Kotor so I'm happy to read these were your favorite ports. I just know I will want to go back for land visits to each. We are traveling with a large group, many of which are older but my friend and I have hired a private driver on Kotor and plan to walk thru town and visit one of the more upbeat beaches on Mykonos. The only port I'm kinda meh about is Athens. We still haven't decided what we are doing here. Our group is taking a busy full day tour but I'm not sure that sounds so fun. We also don't have anything planned for Zadar but have been considering some of the hiking tours. Like others I'm having a hard timing finding out much about this port.

I'm disappointed to hear it may be a struggle getting lounge chairs by the main pool on sea days. I love sitting by the pool but don't want to have to get up early to "claim" a seat. Did they ever open the roof over the adult pool? I've read they can but don't know if its common during good weather.

  4. Thanks I will.

If you want some advice on Kotor let me know.

    Regards,

    Frank

I have been following some of the Kotor posts and see multiple recommendations for Milo. I have reached out to him for our day in Kotor and he is free! I was wondering if you could help me with my timeframe. We are supposed to be in Kotor from 7:00 to 16:00. We would like to use him for the 4 hour tour but am not sure what times to book him. We'd like to disembark as soon as possible and hike to the fortress first while it is still early. Then have Milo pick us up and do our tour. Then we'd like to return to town and have time to walk around and possibly grab a drink and a little food. My questions are...

    • How long will it likely take to disembark from RCI Rhapsody?
    • What time will we need to be getting a tender back to our ship for a 16:00 depart time?
    • How long does the fortress hike take (on average, as I realize this depends on how fast we walk)?

I am thinking we can book him from 10:00 to 14:00. That gives us 3 hours to disembark and hike. Then I think we'd have about an hour to walk around the town, assuming we need to head back at 13:00 but I wasn't sure if that was too much time or not enough.

  5. Kotor is one of our stops as well and I am REALLY looking forward to it. I hope we come in during daylight. We don't have a tour planned here, just plan to walk around, walk up to the top of the fortress and maybe hire a taxi to go to Perast or somewhere nearby.

Hopefully you get reimbursed for some of your internet package, if you purchased the unlimited. I'm still hopeful voom will be on the ship by September but we'll see.

  6. Thanks for all your updates, info and photos so far! Do you know if the ship offers any yoga classes? Also, I've read many reviews that say the captain and crew are wonderful but I'm wondering if it will be the same employees come September. Do you know when this ship changes over?

  7. I look forward to your posts! I am also on a 10 night Adriatic Sea cruise out of Venice but in September. I think my itinerary is different though because we don't stop in Koper. I too am curious how the drink prices are on-board. I don't have a beverage package included but am not sure it is worth adding one. I don't drink soda and wonder if purchasing alcohol beverages will be the less expensive route. With only 2 real cruise days, I don't think $462 plus 18% seems worthwhile for the Premium Package. Plus I can bring 2 bottles of wine, though that would not last very long. I think 10 night cruises should get a higher allowance than that!

  8. You can use any number of different devices as long as you use only two at a time.

Oh, this is even better than I thought. I'm thinking I was going to have to choose between my cell, ipad and computer for 1 device and I didn't know which would be most important! I'm very happy my roommate and I can each be logged into a device under my 2 device package purchase and we can interchange those devices throughout the cruise. It only saves about $10-15 for us to combine the package but hey, that's 1 drink :)
