  1. Hello

My family and I will be on the Oasis tomorrow and when we were on other cruises on the first night I could wear dress shorts in the MDR.

For the rest of the week can I still do that, or does it become an issue and longs pants are required.

Also any way to know if the ship will be at 100% capacity.

    Thank you

    Norm

  2. Hello

My family and I are on the Oasis May 29th and the final payment was made. I have been checking for any changes in the prices and have only see it higher. I checked today and see it dropped. I called my TA and they checked with Royal and I received a $307.00 credit on my card. Was told if there is another drop within 30 days of sailing I may be able to receive an OBC. It may be worth your time to checked. I do not know if other ships also had a drop.

    Happy Sailing

  3. Hello

My family and I will be on the OASIS at the end on May of this year, first time on a mega ship. For anyone who has been on this ship, what can we expect, activities, getting around the ship, food, what a cabin is like, we are on desk 7 with a baloney and things to do on board. Also any chance anyone has recent daily sheets that can be posted. I would like to get an idea on what goes on each day. We are looking forward to this cruise, it has been two years and we are ready to go. Thank you Norm

  4. Hello My family and I were on the ship July 6th-13th in Cat B cabin 7136. It had new carpet, was told the mattress as was new and it looked the drapes were new. I talked to a few Officers and was told at the next drydock, what was not done will all be completed. I think it would be in 2021.

  5. Hello Everyone

Thank you all for responding. Never knew this would be such an interesting question.

We are bring separate suitcases and my wife wanted to put some of her things in mine.

She figured out what to take and not take and did a repack. I told her about the responses and is bring her dryer.

We are hoping for good weather and smooth sailing. Enjoy what is left of the 4th and enjoy the fireworks if there are any by you.

  6. Hello

My family and I will be on the Equinox this Saturday and my wife wants to bring her own hair dryer and I say she should use the one that is in the cabin.

Her complaint is the one on the ship is not strong enough. Please let me know which one you think works better. I am trying to save space in the suitcase.

    Thank you

  7. Thank you for your responses. For us the cabin is in a good location and not noisy. The last time we had a great cabin steward, James from Trinidad. We also meet Oz one of the activates staff when we were on the Summit few years ago, very nice guy. No way to know if they be on board this time.

  8. Hello My family and I will be on the ship in two weeks, July 6th, we were also on last April and we thought the ship was in good shape last year.

I have seen the comments on what did and did not get updated, or changed.

For anyone who has been on this month, is there anything that stands out, any wow factor. We are in a Cat B cabin 7136, same as last year and do not expect to see much if any changes. Have activates been added or are have they been cut back. We have seen over the years as we have cruised with Celebrity cut backs being made, no paper or pens in the cabins, less staff, saw that the daily paper is gone, even thought it was only 4 pages or so, I looked forward to reading what was going on with my coffee.

I am guessing that the food will be about what we had last year. We are not junkies and thought it was good, not sure if changes have been made to the Ocean View or the main dining room menus.

Thank you to any one who responds.

  9. Hello

My family and I will be on the 6th. We were on the Equinox last year and we did not have any issues. I have seen over the years when we sailed with Celebrity how they are cutting back, from less staff to no more note pads or pens in the cabins. I have seen their usual demographic to be more on the older side, since you mentioned you are in your 30's I would think they would want to target your age and into the 50's more. On another topic, I wanted to asked if know if one of the activities members Oz was on board. We meet him last year and when we were on the Summit. He is a really nice guy was hoping to catch up with him to see who he is going.

  10. Hello My family and I will be on the ship in a few weeks, July 6th and want to ask anyone who is on the ship if you know if one of the activities staff, Oz is on board. We

meet him last year and when we were on the Summit. He is a very nice guy and were hoping to meet him again. Can you please let me know, and if he is tell him Norm

    says hello.

  11. Hello My family and I will be on July 6th this year. For anyone who is on now, do you know if an activities person named Oz is on board. If he is can you please ask him if he will be on then. We meet him last year and when he was on the Summit. Very nice guy and it would be great to meet him again. Tell him Norm says hello. Thank you

  13. My family and I are going on the Equinox next July 6th. I have been checking the prices and today I saw a drop, small but a drop and saved $100.00. It may be a short lived drop, so others may want to check to see if you can save anything.

  14. I was on the ship in late March of this year. The fee is $30.00 and you pay at the cashier. You get a ticket which you give to the person running tournament. I also received a lottery ticket and the numbers were drawn later that day. It is winner take all, no second place.

There is a bank of machines were everyone meets at. There are rounds and your name will be on a screen over a machine. Once everyone is seated there is a countdown and at zero you have three minutes to hit the button as many times as you can trying to get the highest score.

During this time balloons will appear on a screen in front of you, hit them, they are worth points. There is a countdown and you are done. There is the top score and then another around and so on until there are no more players. The ones with the top score go into final around and you play the same way.

I maybe missing few steps, but this should give you an idea of what happens. Check the dailies for the time, I remember it was a sea day but I am not sure if it was at the start or end of the cruise.

On another topic. There is an activities person who's name is Oz and is a really nice guy. I meet him on the Summit a few years ago. If you see him tell him Norm says hello. Good luck playing tournament.
