  1. Hi all,

My wife and I are going on our honeymoon soon (aboard the Jewel of the Seas) and I had a quick question. I was trying to determine if a drink package is worth it, or if it's better to just pay as you go? I'm sure there are a lot of factors that play into that decision, but I was just wondering if anyone had any general advice they could offer?

Also, on a related topic - how does tipping work on an international cruise? I read somewhere that tips were built-in for things like restaurants and room service (if I remember correctly). Does that also include drinks at the bar?

Your help is very much appreciated! Thank you for your time!

  2. Hi all,

My newly-wed wife and I will be going on the 9 Night Greek Isles Cruise aboard the Jewel of the Seas. I had a quick question about international data and wifi.

I am trying to figure out the best approach for staying connected on at least some of our devices (2 cell phones, 2 tablets, and possibly a laptop). Is it better to get some type of international data plan through our carriers (AT&T and Verizon) or just pay for the cruise line's wifi service?

I'm thinking I'd like to have at least one phone working when we are exploring different countries, so at the moment I'm leaning towards at least an international data plan. Do people tend to purchase the on-board wifi? Or do they just purchase an international plan through the carriers and use their phones at hot spots? Or both? Just trying to figure out the best approach.

Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome! Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  3. Hi all,

My newly-wed wife and I will be traveling overseas for the first time. I had a quick question about phones, tablets, etc. and how to get data.

We are going on a cruise stopping in multiple countries. I am trying to figure out the best approach for staying connected on at least some of our devices (2 cell phones, 2 tablets, and possibly a laptop). Is it better to get some type of international data plan or just pay for the cruise line's wifi service?

I'm thinking I'd like to have at least one phone working when we are exploring different countries, so at the moment I'm leaning towards at least an international data plan. But if there is a better/more recommended approach, I would really appreciate some advice!

Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
