  1. Anytime between the hours of 9pm-10am, I will make sure that my doors are completely silent. But if it's anytime outside of that frame, I don't worry about the noise they may make. It's not that I intentionally let my door slam. I just don't "think about" the sound of my door. Loud doors can be annoying when the party people call it a night. But I'm not going to tiptoe around during the daytime hours.

  2. Tiki Beach in Grand Cayman. We went in September of 2017. We were dropped off at Calico Jack's. (Bad Idea) That was a can of sardines. But, we lucked out! We walked around the construction at the resort next door and came to a completely empty beach. Tiki Beach was empty and abandoned at the time. So, it was just the 5 of us with a pristine beach all to ourselves.

  3. Our family was booked for a deluxe Oceanview stateroom on the breeze for August. I called Carnival and switched us to a Cove balcony room. 5 days later I got the upgrade email from Carnival offering to put me in a standard balcony room for only $52 more. I accepted the offer and upgraded. Because booking the standard balcony to begin with would have been $140 more. So I'm only assuming that they had plenty of balcony rooms with upper pullmans available and trying to sell them.

  4. I am also not a fan of people smoking... I get that they need pacify the smokers but I wish the ship had better ventilation in the areas they are allowed to smoke.

If the Dream didn't have a designated sports bar I'm not sure you will find a Carnival ship that does. Lol

Several carnival ships have the Skybox Sports Bar. It's really awesome.

  5. If you want more "relaxing" time go to nachi. The Palapas are nice. It's not crowded, or loud.

As far as food goes, we were able to order seconds. They have a full menu of appetizers entrees and desserts. We ordered guacamole, and their amazing ceviche for appetizers. When our entrees came, we asked to order more of the guacamole and another order of ceviche. And our waiter smiled and said sure. Plus, with all of the free drink just flowing your way under that Palapa, it didn't take long to get full! I suggest getting on TripAdvisor and reading all of the reviews. There are tons and tons of pictures of the food as well. Mr. Sancho's will just be a zoo of people. At nachi, all of the loungers and Palapas have a front row seat to the ocean.

  6. In September, on the Breeze, Circle C and Club 02 combined activities on a few different occasions. They basically took the Circle C bunch over to 02 club to make a larger group for certain things like karaoke. My 13yo enjoyed being in there with his older brother. And I was fine with it.

However, if this were my daughter, yeah I would have a different opinion about the whole matter. I don't believe I would be comfortable with my daughter at age 13 to go hang out with 17 year old guys.

The thing that was surprising to me was the fact that the staff just organized, and executed the combined activities. And my wife and I had no idea until our boys came back and said that the two clubs were doing activities together.

  7. Don't you love it!?!? June, July, August, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's!

They have to makeup for the loss of revenue due to of all of the kids that are cruising, instead of adults that are spending money.

That's why my kids get a one-week vacation during the school year!

  8. What's the shortest amount of time anyone has had to wait before their first upgrade sales pitch?

I switched our family from an ocean-view cabin to a Cove balcony room on the breeze just five days ago. I got the upgrade offer this morning to upgrade to a regular balcony For $52. Which of course, I accepted! It would have cost me $140 more if I had booked a standard balcony to begin with.

By my calculations, that equals out to about 8 Bahama Mamas with tip saved for that upgrade...

  9. We sailed The Breeze twice with a group of three in a cabin and the third “bed “ is the sofa top. It was made up as a bed when we arrived in the room.

Ok, thank you. If that is the case, I'm sure the stewards will have no problem with my request to keep it set up as the couch then. Our daughter is only going to be 11 at the time. She actually slept on the couch in our stateroom part of the day while she was seasick during rough leftover hurricane seas in September. I just asked her if she liked the couch and she said "Uh-huh!" [emoji51]
