  1. Thank you Tortoisegirl! (we have 2 California desert tortoises) Yes the price is only about $100 a day each plus the pick 5 perks, especially the drink package. The rooms seem smaller than on Princess. How did Royal compare to Princess?

  2. Panama Canal cruise leaving on Nov 10 and we have been notified of one port change and shortened times at a couple of others. So it doesn't look like any repairs before Late Nov.

    We were extremely disappointed with the 3 ports , Netherlands, Spain, and Azores, eliminated. Could have maybe lived with one or less time, but this is for our 50th anniversary and only $100 on board credit was unacceptable.

  3. When did Princess say it was going to be repaired on October 7?

    Told by Princess in one of the numerous phone calls regarding our transatlantic trip that eliminated 3 ports, they said the problem would be fixed when it returned to Florida at end of our trip Oct. 7. thats why I was surprised to see in June that they had already changed itenerary for someones Oct. 21 sailing. We cancelled the Sept. 22 trip, rebooked Panama on the 27th on Coral Princess

  4. The thing that really bothered me was we were told the Carribean Princess would be repaired when it returned to Florida on Oct. 7. But a few weeks ago another person posted that their cruise which starts on Oct. 21 already had itenerary changes for the same reason! Apparantly they are not repairing the problem!!

  5. Just received notice of itinerary change for our October 21 to Panama on the Carribean Princess. To think Princess has been aware of a technical issue since June and will not take action to correct it , is mind boggling! Instead the customer, the paying customer is paying the price. Sure they are giving us $100 on board credit, big deal, how sincere:mad:!

    Dear fellow cruisers take action and call Princess and voice your displeasure. Tell them you signed up for and paid for a product for which your truly not going to receive.

    I understand if mother nature got involved and a hurricane made the decision of our itinerary change instead of a technical issue. The unwillingness of Princess to remedy this issue is disturbing.

     

    It doesn't do any good to call, I called at least 10 times to complain about the transatlantic that eliminated 3 ports do to technical difficulties, even speaking with supervisor does not good or emailing. We cancelled that cruise but were told the problem would be fixed when it got to Ft Lauderdale Oct 7. Apparently not according to your itinerary change it will still have the problem! How frustrating I know. We rebooked the Panama canal for Sept. 27 on the Coral. Can you switch to that one?? Good luck regardless. We have already booked a cruise for next year but this time trying Norweigan. Would like to know what you do.

  6. Keep in mind that between now and some time after Sept 22 the Caribbean Princess will be operating at less than its proper speed. Our TA on the 22 has had major itinerary changes. They are keeping this a secret from any cruiser between now and then. Sorry for your change.

    I have spent to much time trying to get Princess to give more than "i'm sorry" for this inconvenience on phone with reps and supervisors. Email was sent to customer relations, only to get auto response to call. I am done! Cancelling, there goes our 50th anniversary plan.

  7. Just received Itinerary change for our 15 day Europe Trans Atlantic cruise in September. Three Ports Rotterdam,

    Vigo and the Azores have been eliminated. The ship can not travel at full speed. Two of the previous ports have been replaced, there will now be an additional day at sea. A goodwill gesture will give $100 credit each for any disappointment caused. Has anyone ever experienced this? I feel the compensation should be more than

    $100. And the notice was given 1 month before final payment is due. This is our 4th cruise and we have not ever heard of this. Suggestions?
