Thanks for your response. Glad to hear that someone else is going too. Knew about the formal night so the posh frocks are coming out for that. We will dress up warmly for the trips as they have forecast an icy blast! Just wondered about festive entertainment and maybe festive food. We'll just have to contain the excitement til we get there:)

I am taking my DIL on her first cruise on 3rd Dec- Oriana - to Bruges and Amsterdam ( 4 nights). When P&O email me, they keep calling it a festive cruise. What can we expect? Decorations? Festive food? what sort of entertainment on a 4 nighter? We've booked trips to xmas markets etc - just trying to work out what to wear etc.

Thanks everyone - that's really useful . Only fly in the ointment is that National Express limit the weight of luggage to 20kg and I will have 23kg. Think I may just have to book the train instead!

Am flying back from Barbados , Landing at Gatwick on 27th Jan- flights with Thomas Cook. My friend has booked this for us, however I am trying to work out what time I will land as I cannot see CP. My friend lives in the North and is flying from Manchester- I am in the South, so without being a pain to her, I am asking here.

Has anyone got any idea what time I will land as I am trying to sort out transport home from the airport- with National Express offering silly rates at the moment, I would prefer to book something now at a reduced rate.

Hi. I emailed P and O and finally got a response after my cabin number and eticket was available on cp. Have been upgraded from a single inside on the lido deck to cabin F527, a double inside on f deck. Am happy.

Hi - TYI- when can I expect to see my e-tickets on CP- my cabin is still not allocated and I fly on 11th March? I am on an Early saver fare. Have already asked for and got freedom dining confirmed. Getting excited about going but not used to waiting this late for e-tickets from other cruise lines.

Hi everyone, am new to P&O- not cruising- and am off on the TA from Barbados to Southampton in March, on Britannia. I have a couple of questions- sorry there may be more as is gets nearer:-

1) what currency would you tip your cabin steward in? I now that tips are added to the onboard account by P&O , but I always leave an extra tip if the service is good.

2) Can you book the speciality restaurants for one person, and do you end up sat on your own or at a larger table with other people? What happens to single people in the Limelight club- do you sit on your own or with others?

Hi- Thomson operate out of North. There's a very good Premier inn at North, that is right opposite the terminal at North. We've used it many times. You can always pop on the monorail (2 mins away) to get to South if you end up flying from there? If you need parking , they do a sleep/park /fly package - we did this and the hotel + parking is very reasonable.
