Check with Sensations, they may have a 1:45 on Mon - Sat

Thanks blue_water, our NCL ship arrives in Tortola at 8:00 am.  I'm not sure if I can make the 8:30 am outbound Sensations ferry time.   I even thought about taking the outbound Speedy's at 9:00 am, and the return Sensations ferry at 1:45 pm.  The times would be perfect, but now I'm scared about taking two different ferries, and if it would complicate my journey.  I decided to just bite the bullet and buy the NCL ship excursion.  Thanks for your help.

I think someone mentioned another water taxi company, but I do not recall the name. I booked the NCL excursion because I don’t like the 3:30 pm return time.

Thank you, I decided to book the NCL excursion for the same reason.   Unfortunately this cost our family of four $376, compared to DIY which would have cost $172.  Would have been nice to save the $200 but the ferry times just didn't work for me.

  3. I'd like to try to DIY the Baths excursion, however when I look at Speedy's ferry schedule, the last two return ferries from Virgin Gorda are at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm.

My NCL all aboard time is 4:30 pm so the 3:30 pm ferry is too close for my comfort, yet the 11:30 am is too early.  Seems like they should have something in the middle like 2:00 pm.

Does anybody know if there are any return ferry options around 2:00 pm?

  4. A bit of a shocker today.  I booked 2 cabins for our family of 4 on a cruise departing from Athens Greece in May 2023.  Used the 2 for 1 airfare promo and saved a ton of money on flights.   However the travel agent informed me that NCL charges a fee to guarantee that both cabins will be on the same flights.   This is officially called the "Travel With Guarantee" program and the cost is increasing from $25 pp to $100 pp for 2023 cruises.

Really, a $400 fee to guarantee my me, my wife, and 2 kids will be on the same flight?    Normally I wouldn't mind but this is a flight from Kansas USA to Athens, Greece.  I expect 20 hours of travel and 3 flights to get there.

Buyer beware of this $400 penalty.  First time trying NCL after many cruises on Royal Caribbean and Disney.  Not off to a good start here.

This is kind of a bait and switch as, the terms on the NCL website says the fee is only $25.  Search for "Travel With Guarantee" at this link: see here: https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions

  5. I'll be sailing in Jan 2021 and I would like to visit one of the beaches on the southwest side of the island, possibly Ffryes, Darkwood, or Turners, I believe these are all 30 min away.   I know its easy to get a cab here but how do we find a taxi to bring us back to the ship?

I just saw a youtube video (https://youtu.be/d-WGL5S-3zo?t=542) where a couple went to Darkwood beach and their taxi driver never returned so they had to hitchhike back to the ship.  I'm freaking out about this happening to me.  Please share your experiences on getting a taxi back to the ship from Ffryes, Darkwood, or Turners.

  6. I'm preparing for my cruise on the Harmony of the Seas in November out of Ft. Lauderdale.

I'm well aware of the rule on Royal Carribbean where they allow two 750 ml bottles of wine per stateroom. I booked two staterooms, so I expect I can bring 4 bottles of wine, right?

Maybe not. Here's the catch.... Stateroom A has two adults registered, and state room B has two teenagers registered.

Would the folks at Royal Carribbean not allow four bottles of wine because the second stateroom belongs to two kids under the legal drinking age?

I could see them saying that you only get two bottles of wine for each stateroom that has an adult registered in it.

Let me know what you think, and if anyone has any experience with this situation.
