  1. Hi, I'm a Bangladeshi and i recently booked Mariner of the Seas from Singapore on 3rd November in a 3 day cruise that goes to port klang, malaysia then returns to Singapore. As Bangladeshi, i will require visa for Singapore for both singapore and malaysia. But i dont plan to get offboard while we're in port klang.

At what point in time do they check for malaysian visa? which boarding or while leaving ship at port klang?

    regards

  2. i'm taking med cruise from rome on 27th March. we're a couple with an infant baby. not looking for too much sea or pool time. will be staying indoors most of the time. our baby doesn't like hot weather and crowded places (as of now). This is my first cruise so dont know but i feel this it the right one for us. what do others feel?

  3. Well either cruise ill arrive couple of days earlier, get jet lag fixed and expore the city.

My wife finds the 20 hour buffet amazing plus the new features in the new ship.

Do you think its all really worth the extra $1000?

About the weather will it be same?

  4. Hi,

My TA has allowed me to change cruises if i wanted to so i need opinion from experienced cruisers.

Which one do you think will be a better option:

MSC Splendida from Civitavecchi on 27th March 2017 for a total of $1650 for balcony

    Or

MSC Meraviglia from Barcelona on 20th october 2017 for $2650 for balcony

We are 2 adults and an infant.

    Regards

    Saffy

  5. my ship is scheduled to dock at 8am in room. I'll be on Msc splendida. I wish to book my flight that departs from Rome at 1500. There's a direct bus service that departs from port to FCO airport at 9.15am.

Will i be able to catch that bus?

  6. Hi pete,

I'm booked on cabin 9144 on msc splendida for a med tour. Can you please suggest to be a better cabin on that deck. My travel agency will help me change cabin. We will also have 15 month old baby with us. I'll need un-obstructed view.

    Regards

    Safwat

  7. On the UK web site the price is £599 ($850) with £100 ($142) per person OBC

    effective price £499 pp($710) at £1.00/$1.42.

So you got a fair price but not a massive bargain.

It's up to you to decide whether you got a bargain or good deal, as you will have to factor in flights and transfers.

    Pete

    Hey Pete,

Thank you. I understand sometimes price drops when sailing date is near but almost impossible to get good cabin. Is it true?

Can you also say a little bit about my cabin and if the balcony is steel?

  8. When you get off the train in Civitavecchia, you will have to go downstairs, under the platforms and up steps. Bear this in mind with child, buggy and luggage. Before you exit the station, pop into the shop/cafe and buy your shuttle bus tickets, €2 pp currently. The shuttles pull up opposite the station door. They take you to the new port entrance where you can catch the free port shuttle to your ship. If you choose to walk to the 'old' port entrance, the port shuttle does not stop there anymore so you would have to walk on to the shuttle stop or to your ship. Take the €2 shuttle. Ken

Thanks for all the info Ken. Much appreciated

  9. Hi bit too early to ask but im so excited for my first cruise.

Has anyone stayed in cabin 9144 of msc spledida near the atrium? Whats it like?

I booked bella balcony for $699 each adult and $150 for my infant baby for a march end med cruise.

Did i get myself a good deal?

  10. Whenever answering this question we simply recommend that the poster Google "Catacombe dei Cappucino" and read about that macabre (but fascinating) place. We have gone there by simply walking from the port into town and catching a local bus. It is also reachable by taxi (at more cost). Combining this attraction with simply walking around the downtown area (which is within walking distance of the port) can make for a fun day.

Would love to do this on my own but my wife will be scared to death if i took her there haha

  11. If you look down the board, this is discussed commonly here. You may walk from the train station to the main gate, where you catch a free shuttle to your ship. You may take a bus from the train station to the main gate, costs less than an euro. Or you may catch a cab from the train station to your ship. Given it is a short ride, cab is perhaps the most difficult option.

Thank you so much. Im new here and checked a few thread but couldnt find an answer so opened a new one.
