hmm did you check viator.com? I think they do groups that large

Thanks for your info and Congrats on your engagement.  I saw your Greek cruise blog and it was very informative.  I did check Viator with some of my shore excursion request and they just responded with some very good prices for my group.  Cruising with a group takes a lot of planning 😀

  2. I have a port call in Barbados from 10-6. My thought was to take a cab to the Mount Gay factory for a tour, return to the ship and then take a cab to the Boatyard for the rest of the day on the beach. has anyone done this before, I think the factory and the boatyard are in opposite directions, but not far from the ship. Anyone been to Barbados think this is a plan that just won't work?

This is doable, but I would stop off at the Boatyard on my way back from the Rum Factor, it would save you a lot of time. Evening traffic in Barbados can be a problem especially coming from the Boatyard, having to pass through the city to get to the port. Rent the cab for the day and make returning to the ship the last stop. If you want to be closer to the ship, there is a nice beach call "Brandon's Beach" where you will be able to see the ship from the beach is about a 10 minute cab ride away. Enjoy my home Barbados:)

  3. Has anyone used Verizon Wireless for calls and texts in Italy and Spain? What would our best options be? Thank you in advance!

Hi Ken, How did you do using your Verizon Wireless on your Cruise I am Cruising on Harmony on Sunday and I am also planning to use my Verizon Wireless. I would like to know which Verizon plan did you use and how did it go. Thanks

  4. I am torn between taking the ship excursions, which some are rather expensive and touring on my own in Italy. I am saying this because of my first time cruising the Mediterranean, travel times between port and cities (Rome and Florence) and for the simple fact of being left by the ship. I am in the process of planning my cruise excursions, so I could use some sound advice to calm my fears, so I can make good decisions and save some money too :). Thanks in Advance

Cruising with 11 people August 14 on Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas

  5. Hi,

Going to be on the Harmony of the Seas at the end of September and was wondering what the wait times at the Coliseum were like, assuming we have already purchased our "Skip the line" tickets.

    Anyone been there recently?

    Thanks for your help :D

Hi where did you get your skip the line tickets from. I am going in August and would like to buy my tickets in Advance

  6. It is a bit confusing, but accademia.org (and uffizi.org) aren't the official websites of the museums. Rather, http://www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/uffizi/default.aspx will get you there. Scroll to the bottom of the page and there is an option to have the English version of the web page. Comparing, it is 4 euros cheaper (per ticket) to go to this site and it will give you an opportunity to select your entrance time, which are in 15 minute increments. If you are going in the summer, buying tickets ahead is the only way you can make sure you will get in. I just bought our tickets for the Uffizi and Accademia for our July 10 visit. Last time we were in Florence ('05) we skipped both because the lines were so long. We'll see how this works this time. I bought our Vatican tickets ahead too.

Thanks for the info. Are these tickets skip the line tickets, and where did you buy your Vatican tickets? Thanks

  7. Hi i am new to Cruise Critic and seeking some advice. I am sailing on Harmony of the seas in August, with a stop in Naples. Ship docks at 7am and leaves at 8pm. I want to go to Capri and Pompeii on my own without a tour company. Is this doable and how can i achieve this. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
