It’s official we are on the Ocean Odyssey’s inaugural voyage out of Jordan as of the Nov 17, 2022 trip.  The ship is beautiful and  food is wonderful.  We are in cabin 419 and cabin and balcony spacious.  If you have a trip booked on ocean odyssey it should make it’s voyage without fear of cancellation from this point forward.  Happy cruising all!

I hope it will also help relieve your stress to know we have received the welcome letter this week from the on ship tour manager and concierge giving us specific instructions that only gets sent out if the tour is a good to go.

Yes it’s cruising to Jordan where we depart from and is moving in that direction according to cruise mapper

We booked the Nov 17, 2023 Amman to Dubai cruise on the Ocean Odyssey as a last minute cruise for a price discounted by 75% off original price with free air.  It looks like this may be the very first inaugural voyage of the ship.  We have received the folder with the luggage tags, name badges and other docs about a week ago. They have upgraded us to a cabin $1400 more in value than the lowest price cabin we had booked.  Our air is still confirmed and seats assigned so it looks like this will be the first cruise of this ship that actually happens and we feel extremely lucky because I just found this thread today and we would have been freaking out if we had found it earlier. My heart goes out to all of you that have either been cancelled, mislead or paid full price and can’t get your money back.  Based on this thread we will only book last minute discounted vantage tour because anything else sounds very risky.  Thanks for the heads up about these terrible business actions by Vantage.

I think we are White Spot kind of people:) We definitely like good food at reasonable prices. Thanks for the help.

Yes, I will post a review when we return. Also thanks to Ell52 for the great dining tips. Especially about Denman. We had no idea. How would you rate Mr. Pickwicks Fish and Chips on Denman for a very casual lunch? We will do Dinner at Cadero's

We got a great rate on our room at the Westin Bayshore of $100 per night through priceline for three nights in Sep.

We arrive in Vancouver on a Sundat around noon. We are taking the limo at $39C to the hotel. Amazingly low price for a limo and no advance reservation required. You just walk up to it at the airport and confirm the price, get in, and whisk away in comfort to your hotel

We are going to spend Sunday Afternoon at Stanley Park

On Monday we are taking greyline tour to Victoria

On Tuesday we are taking greyline tour to Whistler

On Wed we board the Carnival Spirit for the 12 day cruise to Hawaii

Pretty much have it planned except where to eat in Vancouver that is withing walking distance of the Westin Bayshore. We have heard the Boathouse is pretty good but not certain if it is in walking distance. Any recommendations will be greatly apprecaited.
