  1. Good Morning from Rhode Island. It is a chilly 17 this morning, and I am so ready for a cruise :D My husband sister and I just booked the Dawn repo New Orleans to Boston.

We are all seasoned cruisers, but this will be out first on NCL. What can you tell me about the Dawn? I have read several reviews, but would love to hear from you !

    Best restaurants?

    Where to hang out?

Are there any places on deck in the shade?

    How are the shows?

Is there an adults only area?

Quite area for reading, watching the water?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. My sister and I were on the Conquest last month. Room 1216. The only noise we had was one night. When waves hit the bow of the ship, there was a loud bang.Did not happen often. I just put in my ear plugs and kept on sleeping.

This room was a port hole room. We got it for the same price as an inside. If I had the chance I would book it again.

    Hope this helps

  3. I am Celiac and have been for 25 years. As everyone has already said, see the maitre'd the day you board. I will be going on my 20th Carnival cruise in September. It makes no difference if you have ATD or assigned seating. You will still place your order the night before. When you are seated you give your room number and tell them you have a pre ordered meal... after 2 or three nights the hostess will remember..

  4. He will be fine with his shorts and sneakers most nights. Like others have said long pants and a nice shirt for elegant night will do.

Carnival has relaxed the dinning room dress code a lot. You will see a majority of people in shorts and tees. The only time I have seen anyone refused to be seated was on elegant night. ( men in shorts)

    Enjoy your cruise.:)

  5. Thanks for taking the time to write up such a detailed spa review, it is something I have been wondering about.

Nice to read that single passes are available.

Do they offer tours of the spa prior to purchase?

Great review looking forward to more.

    Susan

There are tours of the Spa on the day you board. They try to get you to sign up for classes and treatments, then. You always have the to option buy at anytime on the cruise.
