  1. The problem we are having is that there is 6 of us and for the hotels that actually include a room for day use won't rent one room they want us to reserve 2 or 3 rooms. We think that would be a waste given that we aren't going to actually be using the room but it might be our only option.

  2. Hello!! Looking for suggestions for a hotel in Miami for rental for daytime use. There is a group of us (6 in total) getting off a ship on a Sunday and we don't fly out until that evening. Was hoping to get hotel room for the day and use of the facilities at the hotel. We hope to only get one room really just to hold our luggage but to have if someone wants to have a nap or a shower. We hope to stay in South Beach if possible but any information for any hotels in Miami would be welcomed. Thanks!

  3. Hello!! I'm traveling with a group of people and we are hoping to rent a hotel for the day after we get off the ship. We don't fly out until that evening. I know there are excursions we can do but given that it's the end of our vacation we thought it might be nice to just relax for the day. We have found that some hotels will let you use their facilities and hold your luggage for you but they don't actually give you a room you can use. There is 6 of us and we'd hope to find a place in South Beach but if you have any information about any hotels in the Miami area that offer this service it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  4. It is a distance from the ship but there is board walks that you can use your scooter right to the cabanas.

My friends are on the Jan. 27 sailing. I will report back with how it went.

That's awesome. Thanks for the information! Yes please let me know how your friend does. Is she planning on using a scooter while on the ship?

  5. I've love some info about this as well.....if anyone has any. I have MS as well and I'm traveling on the Getaway in February of 2018. I have a scooter booked for my cruise and we have booked a beach Cabana for a day of relaxing. I'm in contacted the NCL assistance desk but they really don't seem to have much information. I'm concerned about the distance you have to travel when you get off the ship in Belize. I was told that I could use my scooter and I was also told that there are golf carts used to move people around. I'm not getting consistence answers to my questions which makes me nervous. I wish you luck with gathering information for your friend. Thanks

  6. Thanks so much for your review. Just got off the Escape and I'm about to book on the Getaway. Did Eastern Carribbean and now want to do the Western. Was on the Escape with friends who have cruised before but it was mine first cruise and I loved it. We all decided we wanted to cruise together again so we purchaged desposits before getting off the Escape and couldn't wait to start using them!

  7. One thing I want to mention that has caused such great controversy here is...the water!!! I drank it and lived to tell! It is just fine, completely tasteless, and probably better than what comes out of my own faucet. I purchased a brita filtered sports bottle and our steward filled it every night for us. Now I know the water situation is not a big deal at all!

LOVE the tip on the brita filter sports bottle....just got off the Escape where I prepurchased 6 bottles of water, which where great to have but way over priced. Heading to the Getaway next....totally going to get one of the brita bottles. Enjoying your review so far....*keep reading* :)

  8. We love the idea of Vibe and hope we can get passes....we didn't learn about Vibe until after we had already checked in a picked our boarding time. So we went back and change the time and the earliest we could get is between 12:00 - 12:30. I'm curious...I'm sure it's not the same but how is the Ho2 during the day? It's adults only during the day correct?

    Thanks!

  9. This is super helpful information!! I'm going to be a first time cruiser when I cruise on the Escape in Sept! We hope to get passes for Vibe as well....but didn't realize it was going to be so hard! I note that you said you checked in at 10:30 and boarded at 12 and the line up was pretty long for Vibe passes. We don't set sail until 7 p.m. and when we when to check in the earliest time we could get checked in was at 12 p.m., we were thinking that we are going to be in the first bach....but is that not the case? I'm a cruise virgin...not sure I understand a lot of how this all works!
