  1. I myself only bring my drivers license when leaving the ship in the Caribbean. Other cruises Celebrity had kept our passports and gave us a copy to leave the ship with. Do leaving your jewelry on the ship. We did lose a ring once while swimming with the stingrays. No one wants to lose a ring, but it was insured for full value. I learned long ago to insured jewelry.

Oh yeah, jewelry stays in the safe. I was more concerned about the passport, but if I don't need to carry it, I'll take my driver's license and a photocopy of the passport. That can go in a waterproof bag, as can a little cash.

  2. We have booked several excursions through Celebrity (Green Grotto and Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica, and swimming with Dolphins in Grand Cayman included). I am wondering about what we would do with the limited valuables we would bring on such excursions (a little cash, passport, cell phone) while we are in the water. Are there lockers or somewhere safe to keep our things while we are climbing Dunn's River Falls? What about for the swimming with dolphins excursions on Grand Cayman? I'd rather not carry these in the water if not necessary, but obviously can't leave them laying around either.... Do you even carry your passports on excursions? TIA.

    • The Concierge tote bag is significantly sturdier and more attractive (think Longchamps tote) than the flimsy regular tote

    • The leather-like Seapass Card holder is very handy

    • I really appreciate the stool that makes your deck chair into a loung chair.

    • On M class ships, the 21 extra square feet makes a difference.

    • As mentioned, if points matter to you, the 5 points vs. 3 points for a veranda cabin makes a difference.

    • As someone mentioned, as you sailed on Celebrity before, you should be Classic loyalty status, so you should be able to get a C2 cabin for the price of a C3. The C2 cabins can be in great locations, i.e. on the hump with large balconies.

We are booked in concierge on the Reflection in two weeks. I'm wondering... Do you get one tote per cabin or per passenger? Will they leave three robes for us if we have three guests in the cabin?

  3. We followed the deals too and they change from time to time, probably based on demand. Early Jan on the Refl they offered 20 % off 1 dinner that had to be used first night, and they offered 3 dinners for 2 people any nights for $109pp, equal to about 30 % off, which we did. It seemed the Qsine staff were always cruising around the ship offering dining deals. Tuscan and Murano booked up fast and we had to juggle our days and times to get what we wanted (to be in the MDR on Chic nights, better menu).

If we could get Murano, Qsine, and Tuscan for $109 PP, I'd be thrilled.

  4. We're on the Reflection 2/25, and have some OBC we would like to use towards dining. I understand that there are sometimes reduced prices for the specialty dining restaurants. How do I find those and how much better are they likely to be? While I'd love to save some money and maybe do three instead of two, I don't want to end up missing a restaurant we really like waiting for a discount either.
