Did the BBC tour through Royal the 1st week of Nov. One hour plus drive from Falmouth and an even longer drive back in traffic. The beach itself is very, very rocky. The waves are not too bad. Plenty of food and drinks it that is what you are looking for but i am sure there are much better beaches around.
We were in Jamaica the first week of October and our excursion was cancelled 4 days before we left. I guess that was good. We ended up using Resort For a Day. Went to Jewel Runaway Bay and had a fantastic time!

I don't see Jeff Arpin and Katie working well together.
From what I have seen, she and Tim work seamlessly as a team, to the extent that she followed him to his new ship! (Tim returns to Oasis on November 5.)
You are absolutely right. She mentioned that she couldn't wait for him to be back! Those two were a big highlight to our Allure cruise in 2016!

Katie is on Oasis, so still on one of the big ships. Her replacement on Allure, Grant Martin, is said to be really good.
Katie was still on Oasis for the 10/1 cruise. She is fantastic but unfortunately Jeff Arpin, the cruise director, stifled her. He seems to have a really big ego. Loved it when she was with Tim Connor on Allure last year.

We were on the Allure in November and never paid a dime extra for any of the Ultimate drinks. They were listed at $13. We did pay extra for some glasses of wine that were $14 or more.

This whole thing is confusing! We sailed on the Allure in November and also had the $12 limit. I ordered many, many Ultimate Bloody Mary's and other Grey Goose drinks that were listed at $13 and never paid anything. They were ordered at different bars also. We did have to pay extra for a few glasses of wine but never a mixed drink. I'm still buying the package for our October cruise because it did save us $$$.

My recommendation for Falmouth is to NOT walk around at the far side of that market outside the pier- omg, it was "interesting". If anyone wants me to type out my interesting story, I can :)

When we went in November the Ultimate drinks were $13 and I never paid extra. We did whenever we ordered wine for$14. We sail again in October and am debating on buying the drink package now before that price goes up!

My husband decided not to buy the drink package ahead of time. After paying just short of $17 for a Bloody Mary when we boarded, he bought the drink package for $479. It more than paid for itself the remainder of the cruise.
