To each his own.....worked out great for us, smooth and easy......having driven in from South Carolina and not being knowledgeable about the easiest and best way to get around the city this worked best for us. If you are driving in and want the easiest way then the way we did it was perfect

Just cruised out of New York, Manhattan Cruise Terminal, on the Carnival Sunshine.

Stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Manhattan Westside on West 48th.....affordable and clean as well as centrally located to Times Square(only 10 minutes walk straight up from hotel), Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center and More.....leave hotel and go up 1 block and turn left, go 1 more block to find ICON PARKING on the left.....park all day & night for $32 with hotel stamp for parking on your IKON TICKET ......when leaving ICON PARKING, turn left and go to 55th and turn left. Go all the way to 12th and turn left at light....MAKE SURE YOU GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH the light and FOLLOW the CRUISE TERMINAL this way sign. Follow cruise parking signs and park long term for $40 per day right next to your ship........
