We have never sailed on a Princess cruise, and have one coming up on the Regal in November. Noticed there was a thread about helpful tips for the Coral Princess - am wondering if experienced Regal cruisers would please share their tips and suggestions!
Thanks in advance.
Since this is your first Princess cruise, you are really in luck. The Captain on the Regal in November is Captain Ed Perrin, and in our humble opinion, he is the best. We have sailed with Captain Perrin twice before, and will be on the Regal November 27th, to enjoy a third amazing cruise with him.

Captain Ed Perrin is, in fact, commanding the Regal Princess, at least for our November 27, 2016 cruise. We have cruised with Captain Perrin twice before, and he is awesome. You can always tell how good the captain is by the way the staff works, and our experiences with Captain Perrin have been the best because of his leadership. Can't tell you how pleased we were to hear he would be on our cruise.

Great job, Mike. We'll be on the Regal in November, and this has really helped to acquaint us with her. BTW, your wife is fabulous.

Seems to me you might be a professional. However, I doubt that the average cruiser is quite so picky. Baked goods are not really my thing, but Boston Cream donuts found in the International Café, are pretty darn good. You might want to take into consideration the number of passengers and staff a ship this size must cater to on a daily basis.
Excursion Reservations Pre-Pay?

I received a notification from Princess that, beginning with fall 2017 cruises, shore excursions would have to be prepaid to be confirmed. My friends and I have already booked and paid for our excursions coming up the end of September, and I did use my obc.
