  1. I am toying with going on this cruise.    There is a lgbt meeting site called meet me on board (no spaces) specifically for finding family on cruises.   If you want cave creek email me andymdw at the gee mail

I went on one other long cruise transatlantic and people say longer the cruise the older the crowd.   My experience on Hal with meeting others has been mixed had one cruise with 30 at meetup but usually only a handful.

  2. Most ports you will find internet somewhere.    Ask the crew they know where it is.    Some ports there will be no free Wifi.    Half Moon Cay is one.    If you have T-mobile or Google FI your phone will work in the port (including the private islands) and you can usually tether the phones internet to others if needed.    If you do the baltic cruise I did find that my phone internet worked most of the time because we weren't that far from the shore a lot of the time.

  3. Internet rates on ships are always expensive.     One alternate I am now using is I switched to Google FI for cell phone and they have free international access.    Of course this doesn't work on the ship but works at pretty much any port.    Their prices start at $20/month plus data $10/gig which maxes at $60 then data is unlimited and you can hotspot the internet to use on any device.  Unless you are going transatlantic or pacific with many days at sea this may be adequate for many.
