  1. I think the differences is the Royal swim you get to swim with two dolphins. I'm not sure i would book it through a cruise line. Can you book it directly through Chankanaab? We've been there before. Just grab a cab from the pier to take you there. There are cabs lined up there to take you back so you can go back to the ship anytime and not worry about missing the ship. The cab ride is only about 10 minutes from the pier if you are docked at the one south of town. The one in town would only be a 20 minute cab ride.

  2. Going to be in Belize on a Carnival cruise in March 2017. Since never been there before and it being a tendered port and the zipline/cave tubing tours 6 hours long, we have decided to do the excursion through Carnival. Only problem is which one? There are four on their site - Jaguar Cave Zipline and Tubing, Exclusive Crystal Cave Tubing and Zipline, Belize Cave Tubing and Zipline, and Exclusive Ultimate Jungle Adventure. They are all different prices. Three of the four include lunch. Does anyone know what the other differences are so we can make a decision which one we want to book? Thanks.

  3. My daughter got married there last spring and we stayed there a week. There is a nice pool, and yes, the beach is not a walk in beach as this is a great place to snorkel so you have to go down the steps. if you take the path to the left of the pool and restaurant there is a very small beach area where you can walk right in the water and there are tables there next to a small waterfall. The food is good and they make really good frozen drinks. It is within walking distance of the pier. There is a new resort right across the street from La Ceiba that I believe has beach access right next door to La Ceiba. Can't remember the name of it, but they might have an AI package also. Hope that helps some.

  4. If your pier is the one south of town and not right in San Miguel, there is a resort that we have stayed at before called El Cid, La Ceiba. I believe it is $65 for an AI day pass. They don't have inflatables in the water, but they have a nice pool, a manmade beach, and steps into the water to snorkel. The food and drink are good. It's only about a block or two from the pier.

  5. Reading lots of positive reviews of Rony's Tours in Roatan. We are looking for a private excursion company. We have never been to Roatan before. If anyone has used them, would appreciate your reviews, please. Thanks.

  6. Been to Cozumel before, so this trip just want to find a place to snorkel not far from the cruise ship pier. Are there any good public beaches to snorkel, or do we need to go to an AI resort for the day?
