  1. Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it.

At the end of this cruise I swore I wouldn't do another cruise on one of the mega-ships. They were just too big for my liking. And then a cruise on the Epic came up that went to ports I've never been to and on top of that the cruise offered good perks. So what did I do? I booked a future cruise on the Epic. At least I know exactly what to expect this time.

The cruise is in 2020 so I have plenty of time to cancel if a better cruise comes up.

    Thank you for the review.

We just booked the Epic for January 5, 2020, so it was great to find your review, I have just started my search of the Epic.

Just wondering if you could tell me about the in room entertainment. A DVD player, radio, in TV movies, not the two channels that play the same movies the whole cruise?

    Thank you SandS

  2. We have sailed Princess and Carnival before but are sailing on NCL the first time in December on the Dawn. I am relieved to hear the muster drill sounds like our experience on Princess - with our health issues it was torture on Carnival. I am very excited about this trip on NCL - already reserved the unlimited thermal spa, 3 specialty restaurant days, and we took the unlimited drinks promo. The only thing so far I'm disappointed reading on these boards is specialty coffee not being included in the drink package because we are major coffee drinkers - to the point I would miss that more than alcohol. Is there any kind of reward card so we can get a free one after buying a certain amount - or any coffee package? I'm going to go crazy if I need to ration my coffee allowance because it costs extra, which is odd since cocktails generally cost more but are included in the package.
Regular Coffee is free, it’s the fancy coffees that cost!
  3. In going through the recent Mexican Riviera Dailies, it appears there is a paint program activity called Canvas by U! Is this similar to the Paint Night activities that have become so popular in local pubs and restaurants? And if anyone has done it, can you please advise on the additional cost? And did you feel it was worth the price?

    Thanks!

I have done it on two different NCL ships. I never did the paint night parties, from what I have read they are very similar.

I forgot exact amount but it was no more than $39.00

  4. Thanks for replies. Just trying to imagine how big these laundry bags are. We are a family of mum dad and two teenage daughters. We are going to moving around a fair bit before we get to cruise. 2 nights vegas , 1 night grand canyon, 3 nights vegas, 2 nights key west, 1 night miami. Just trying to work out when and where to do our laundry.

The bags are very small. If you fold everything tight and you can gut more in. Also a lot if hotels have Laundromats.

  5. Hello! question for you....ok my TA emailed the affidavit to me and there are 5 of us girls going so printed out 5. i am stumped on how to get them back to NCL. TA said to email them back....How? ( i know silly) take a pic of them then email that??? but i see you said you faxed them back? my mother in law has a fax machine. can you give me that #....sounds easier. and you got a confimation back? thanks in advance :)

We took ours to the UPS store and they emailed them for us.

  6. Pssst!

Have you seen the new Carnival/Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle button on this forum? Look to your right. Yes...the right. See the button under the first ad? Click Join the Party, well..to join the party! (It will take you to the Party Registration Page!)

There will now be Official Meet & Mingle Parties on board your 7-day or longer Carnival cruise!

    Enjoy!

Just did it. It said there are only 4 of us signed up for the May 6, Glory Sailing. I signed up a month or two ago the old way, and it showed our numbers were like in the thirties.

  7. We are in the same boat we are getting married in June of 2018. Not sure exactly what we want to do, but cruising (and probably Ziplining) will,be a part of it. Very excited. We are on the Sept 19 Alaska inside passage, then Stay on for the Sept 30 Panama Canal and end in Miami on the Norweigian Sun!
