  1. We are considering not doing an excursion during our stop at Falmouth. We will get off the ship and walk the port but we don't want to take an hour bus ride for an excursion. What are the crowds like on the ship during a port day? Are there any cool extras or closed activities that occur on those days? Any recommendations on what to do on days like that? Thanks!

  2. This will be our first cruise and I have a few questions regarding disembarkation day on the Allure of the seas. We are staying in a junior class suite and the ship is scheduled to arrive at 6:15 am. I need to book my airfare but am unsure of a safe time to schedule my flight home. How does disembarkation work in regards to getting to the airport? How much of a buffer should I provide myself so as not to stress about missing a flight? Thanks for any and all help!

  3. Totally agree with this. Did a 7-night with my family of 4 and loved having the space that we did (and that I could change in the walk-in closet without dragging my clothes into the bathroom!).

Thanks for the feedback. Lots of good information from everyone. This trip is a celebration as my wife is two days away from completing her Doctorate and from what has been shared, this is a good splurge to spoil/congratulate her with.

  4. Small complimentary restaurant up in the Viking Crown area, which is the highest part of the ship and has expansive views to the outside. Menu is different than the main dining room and is cooked to order.

Normally, the $750 extra cost would be too much for me to pay for an upgrade from a balcony to a JS, but since this is your first cruise, I'd splurge.

So staying in a junior suite would let us eat dinner there, is that correct? How do dining times work there? Would we need to reschedule our reservations?

    Thanks for all the help!
