Wow, great photos. The ship looks stunning. Reminds me more of Celebrity decor. Is RCI revitalizing all of their older ships? If so, anyone know what their schedule is to do this?

a lot of the new menu items sound like cafeteria food... I hope the food tastes better than it reads. It seems like the menus keep going downhill. JVS was a step down from MR and now this is looking more like random RCI menus. I'll see for myself when we sail in late August ...but if it's disappointing, I will look at other cruise lines.

I just came back from a 3/16 sailing on Millie and didn't notice any of the things that the OP did. I noticed a couple of wear issues around the ship but nothing major. Maybe you really need to look for it to notice it.
One thing for certain...I think some of these things can vary depending on who your cabin attendant is and who your wait staff is. I was always offered pepper on my salad and in my soup (after the first night which I'll explain). Our waiter and assistant waiter were fantastic. Carlos and Jorge. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They always brought the dessert tray over to the table as well.
Our cabin attendant always kept our cabin clean. Carpet looked new as did the other fabrics. Bathroom was clean and mold free. One day we came by to pick something up from our cabin and they were wiping the whole bathroom down with cleaning products.
To the OP, I'm sorry that the staff you encountered were clearly not up to standards. I must say, the first night we were seated at a table for 6 and we were the only three there. The waiter at that table and his assistant were awful. We asked to be moved and the following night, we were moved. Thank goodness. After that like I said the service couldn't have been better. I know that bad service can potentially put a big damper on a cruise. Hopefully next cruise you'll have a better experience.

what ship where you on?
Heidict,
We were on Enchantment, June 06. I was very happy with the food.
On lobster night, we waited a while for the lobster. Found out that it came out undercooked at first and the chef decided putting it back in would make it rubbery, so they started from scratch with a new batch of lobster. When we finally got it (which in my opinion didn't take that long) it was cooked to perfection. This was not OK with the chef however. We got a tray of tasty bites and chocolate covered strawberries in our cabin the next day with a note from the head chef, appologizing for the delay in the lobster coming out. That's a chef that cares. I don't think you'd have that on any RCI ship. More than likely you would have gotten rubbery lobster that they put back in to continue cooking.
If you have any other questions about the food on that sailing, fire away...

On my last RCI cruise, I enjoyed the lobster bisque very much.
I think it depends on the individual chef on the ship as the soups on our RCI cruise prior to that, though the same on the menu were not nearly as good in taste.

Does anyone know if these cabins will accommodate a 3rd person in cabin?
