  1. You have to register your phones when you get aboard.

You get a pin number through your cabin's tv and enter it into the app to register.

Didn't use the texting feature but did use the phone service to call home.

Only had issues one time and called the kids every night to check in.

The rates were great (rates varied from 12 to 19 cents per minute).

We only installed on my wife's phone and the cost was $9.99...well worth it.

  2. Our days at sea were full of fun, adult beverages and good food, but I was anxious to see Tortola. I sure wasn't disappointed!

The port at Road Town was very easy to navigate, and our group was promptly met by the taxi driver that had been arranged by Myett's, in Cane Garden Bay, which was our destination for the day. We arrived before most of the crowds.

Myett's has a nice section of the beach and we had arranged for chairs and umbrellas to be set up, which happened as soon as we arrived. Food and drinks were available, reasonably priced and tasty. The music selection being played on the beach was entertaining.

    The homes there are impressive.

We are going on the Epic on March 18th...thanks for posting!!

Question...did you book this excursion through NCL?

We haven't decided on anything for Tortola just yet but this looks great...

If you didn't book through NCL can you let me know the details....thanks again!

  3. We are sailing on Epic on March 18th....how do you go about booking the shows?

Is it like the restaurant reservations and they open show bookings so many days out from you cruise?

    Thanks in advance....

  4. The Epic has a much larger coed area, with lots of facilities that the two of you can enjoy together: large hydrotherapy pool with multiple water features, a hot tub, a steam room, two dry saunas with floor to ceiling windows, a relaxation room, and the famous aft balcony.

Thanks so much for the information....sounds great!

  5. Sorry if this has already been asked...

My wife and I were thinking about getting the weekly pass for our cruise aboard the Epic in March. I had one question..

    What facilities are coed?

We were on the Jade back in February and most of the facilities in the spa were separate for men and women.

If we are going to put down $400 for the pass I want to make sure we can at least enjoy some of the facility together :)

    Thanks in advance...

  6. I'm sailing on the Epic from March 18th-25th....the prices right now for the cabanas are $449 for small and $499 for the large :(

We are still a little under 6 months out so I'm hoping they come down in price as that's a little crazy...

We are sailing with 2 other couples...just wondering if I book one now and the price goes down...could I cancel and rebook at the cheaper price?

  7. It depends. On my first Sky sailing in March 2015, small cabanas were (I think?) $200. On my Getaway sailing in January 2016, small cabanas were $400. On my last Sky sailing in March 2016, large and small cabanas both were $250. I'm guessing pricing varies based on ship size and how well they're selling?

They include a $50 food credit (we used it for champagne and a fruit platter the 1st year, and I have no idea what the 2nd year when it was all-inclusive for alcohol. Fruit probably?), floating mats, bottled water, chips and salsa, and probably something else I'm forgetting. I book them because I a) need shade, b) like having a 'home base' to store my stuff, and c) like having my own space on a crowded island. :)

You also get an attendant who refills your chips and salsa and will take drink orders. Ours was incredible on our last cruise and kept us well-supplied with mimosas, margaritas, and pizza all day. :D

I'm booked on the Epic for March 18th-25th 2017 and the price to rent the Cabanas is $449 for small and $499 for a large (both include $50 credit).

Question...if you have the Ultimate Drink package does it include beer, etc. on Great Stirrup Cay?
