Any info on minimum age for the adults only area?
-
Hi all - wondering what the minimum age is for the adults only retreat pool area. I haven't been able to find any specifics. We are cruising on the Enchanted August 2024 so DS will be 18 and DD will be 16, and she is likely more mature than most adults :-). Thanks!

FYI - they did not take the gift card at terminal check in. The line at guest services was always ridiculously long on embarkation day. Didn't try the kiosk. Ended up going to guest services early this morning and she added gift card. She said I wouldn't be able to use the kiosk.

We're on board! Arrived at port at 12:45, parked car at 1:15, waited in security line for a bit, on board at 2!
Thank you to whoever shared the tip to pay cash, shorter line than credit. However, we were going to tip the porter with our change from parking but they took bags before then. So he ended up getting $10 instead of $5.

This is what it looks like in the Hub App.
This explains it as well
Are these weekly rates for a 7-day cruise?

My daughter on the other hand is going to be all decked out the whole time.
Sounds familiar [emoji6]

That's frustrating. Guess we'll just deal with whatever!

Just got email from Carnival explaining that terminal doors open at 12:30 and boarding begins at 2.
We have the 12:30 check in window.
How does the staggered check in work? Will we be in a long line at the terminal doors waiting to get in but stuck behind passengers with a later check in? At what point in the process do they confirm your check in window time? Are you finding that passengers abide by the process and/or Carnival enforces it?
Thank you all, this process is new so I'm very curious and a serious planner. Need to be able to allay concerns of impatient DH and children (I can only use the "quit complaining, you're going a cruise" response so many times)!

DH has diet Dr. Pepper every morning (it's his caffeine fix instead of coffee). It's never available in any cruise we've been on so we've become accustomed to bringing it on board.
It's has been a while since we've sailed with Carnival though and their new policy states we can bring a 12-pack per person in our carry on. This is fine but we've always given it to the porter along with our luggage. We tape it up with a convenient handle and attach a luggage tag. Always made it to our cabin, no problem.
Has anyone done this lately or do we really have to lug around 12 packs until our room is ready? We won't really have a carry on so I'm wondering, any of our fellow cruisers have any tips?
Thanks!

Aren't you concerned that everything on the ship might also be prepared in an area that processes shellfish?

Well we're Caps fans win or lose so we just have to deal (which we're really good at!). By the way, I would never take my 8 and 10 yo kids to a bar, but a cruise ship bar is a little different. In the past we could all sit at tables near the bar, as long as they weren't sitting "at the bar". Anyone know if that's the case on Pride's sports bar?

Waiting for the $500 gift card to arrive, but I'm looking and looking - is there really a way to have this loaded onto our account as an onboard credit before sailing or do we just apply once on-board? If we have to wait until we're onboard, can I apply it during the check in process to avoid standing in line at the guest relations desk?
I've looked at our booking and see where I've already added our regular credit card to cover on board expenses and see no option to add a Carnival gift card.
Would love to hear from someone with recent experience.
Thanks!

Great, there's only one thing we dislike watching more then soccer.
Well, they're kind of tied.
Oh well, I'm still going to be on a cruise!
Thanks!

For my 10-yo we got pant/shirt/vest set for $20 from Walmart. It's a light blue shirt and tan pant/vest so it looks real springy. For non-formal nights khakis pants/shorts and polos. Also got a pair of docksider type shoes that look cute with it all.

I've been reading some posts that someone set off the sprinkler system in the casino by blowing the "smoke" near one of them.
I would NOT want to drench my cabin.

Hi all - for the first time ever, DH and I will be cruising during April and not our usual January time. So that means we'll be sailing during the start of the first round of the NHL playoffs.
Our first few cruises saw nothing but soccer 24/7 in the sports bar so we're wondering, will be able to see some NHL action? Can anyone report from recent cruises on the Carnival Pride?
We're big NHL/Capitals fans and would love to know! Thanks!

I ordered my $500 gift card from AARP this morning. When do you think i can expect it in my mailbox?
Thanks!

Just got a $500 gift card at AARP. Crossing my fingers it gets here before sail away!

Wondering what Internet package I will need on board.
Only want to be able check email through my cell phones native email app which is not a website. I've got my work exchange and yahoo accounts linked in.
I understand that they can restrict you from certain websites and known apps (like Netflix/Hulu) but once I get Wi-Fi on my cell (for $5 social package) can they really block my email app from connecting?
Thanks!
