We concur with the other comments re how wonderful Michael's Club and the Concierges are. We absolutely love it. We have been on 7 X cruises with MC and have 6 more booked.

We have met some of the nicest people while hanging out in MC.

we will be on the Solstice in Oct 2015. Does anyone know who the Concierge will be? (They have all been great.)

I think the guest pass idea is a great idea. Is X listening?

I would guess that Celebrity has decided that suite guests aren't all that attracted to formal nights.

We take many cruises (Elite plus), most of which are long (B2B2B). One of the reasons we always book suites is so we don't have to deal with Formal night dinners in the MDR. We do however always dress appropriately, Smart Casual. Much more comfortable, and don't have to bring as many clothes. It is all about choices. I don't mind that some people like to dress formal, and I hope that people don't mind that I don't. I really don't understand why people feel they have the need to impose their personal desires/values on other people.

Yes, Carnival gave more time for their conversion, but they TOOK AWAY PERKS that we already had. We had been Platinum for a while on Carnival, and we stayed Platinum after the conversion, but with LESS BENEFITS that we had before the conversion. At least Celebrity did not remove any of our benefits at a given level. From what I can tell, Celebrity kept all our benefits in tact for existing levels, and now gives us the opportunity to earn MORE benefits than were previously provided. I believe that Celebrity perks are much better than any other line. We switched to Celebrity because we really like the ships, activities, food, entertainment, how they treat us, etc. The perks were just a bonus.

I do agree that it would have been better if they could have accommodated those who would otherwise have made the next level in the immediate future.
