  1. Hi this is queeniy1.... I was planning on using “ Sinclair Taxis” to take us around Shetland Island but Princess never ported to Lerwick Shetland Island. They were unable to tender to this port due to weather conditions.

  3. I agree not much time to adventure out especially in a busy place that your not familiar with. Maybe the free IKEA water taxi to take me to Pier 11 and check that area out or stay around the Brooklyn area ...

Thank You for all your input so appreciate it [emoji846]

  4. I'm finding it difficult to just find one tour that I can join at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal - Redhook Pier.

Seems all water boats, buses, etc is at the Manhattan Terminal.

I'll only be there from 10-4 and would like to see some highlights.

Has anyone been to the Brooklyn Terminal that can assist ?

    Thank You [emoji846][emoji925]

  5. When a large ship is in town every available vehicle, taxi, etc. is employed by the couple of tour companies is what we experienced. Follow the recommended posts for booking ahead of time. The town itself is very walkable and easily down from the ship. However, if you want to go further afield you will need some form of transportation. It is so worth trying to see outside of the town. The island is beautiful with a tremendous history that is documented in several places. We loved our day there on the Silhouette last August.

Thank You for the info... would you know if the taxis will be waiting at the port when the ships arrive without prearranging one and I can pay on the spot for them to go out of town . The reason why I'm asking we're coming in on a cruise ship and it's a tendor port so I hate to pay in advance just in case the ship doesn't make it there due to weather conditions or it's late coming in.

  6. I'm having trouble finding a tour company to book a tour with. I'm coming in on a Princess Ship Mon Sept 4, 2017 Just from 9-5 Tender, So the time is even less. Will there be buses/van's available to book a tour when we get off or do I need to prearranged on ? If so can someone recommend a company that will do 4 hour tours or less ?

  8. Hi LondonTowner - I'm going on this cruise too... I was hoping to get other fellow passengers that would be interested in joining private tours. I always done private tours from places that were right at the ports when we walked off ship... Do you know for the Iceland ports if there will be people at the ports that you can pay and go right there ?
