  1. I keep mixing this two.. you are right, it's princess.

While I am looking for low price, I will book a cruise if I know that it's reasonable. Do you know what happen if there is a price drop after I book it?

Last time I used Orbitz, and they kept matching to the new price after it dropped. But I figured it's more to do with NCL policy..

while I liked the getaway I understand that I need to lower my standards here and it's fine. I guess most cruise ship are pretty much the same. As long as the food is good, I don't mind the cruise company.

  2. Thanks for the replies. Let me add more info.

We are a couple in our 30ish, planing to visit Vancouver, Seattle and a cruise. Time frame is 2 weeks in the end of August (work restrictions).

We have been on a cruise before with NCL Getaway to the eastern Caribbean and enjoyed the ship, the food and the port of calls very much. 7 nights is perfect. We can;t do more than this, and less probably won't takes us to the good places.

I understand Glacier bay is probably the best place to go, and Princess Millennium at August 25 is a good option, but it's not a must for us. We can settle for another glacier if necessary.

We would really prefer a roundtrip from Seattle or Vancouver, but we are restricted by our time frame. The princess Millennial is 749$ each (before 350$ taxes and gratuities). are this the usual prices?

  3. Hi!

I'm planning my first Alaskan cruise. I read quite a lot, and I think I understand the pros and cons of the different routes.

Because I have just started looking at prices and have no reference for last year and last minute booking, I am not sure what is a reasonable price for a cruise.

The cheapsest option (which also acceptable with dates and routes) is 649$ for inside room (NCL), and it is the cheapest no matter which month, ship, route I am searching. The second one is 749$ with Princess.

Are this the prices or is it too soon to book, and just like the Caribbeans, the price will keep dropping (for the inside rooms) till the summer is here?

    Thank you!
