  1. and that's why we now sail on Princess. We catch a $99 sale for the 3rd and 4th passenger every time. Royal Caribbean has had the most unreasonable prices for a few years now. I recently looked up a cruise with them, and it seems like a reasonable $699 pp, until I got to adding a 3rd passenger - $800 for the kiddo. He can't even eat this much! Even when RC is running their 50% off the second passenger, their prices are unreasonable.

So, Princess it is for us.

I agree! I did a cruise price analysis last year to see if it would be financially possible to take my family of 4 on a RCCL cruise. On average RCCL was $1800 higher for my family of 4 for the same or similar stateroom category etc...

  2. I don't think that is how fares are formulated (and I doubt a 7 month old would be sitting anywhere other than someone's lap:)).

You're right ma'am! Many of the comments are off base regarding the 7 month old. I mainly sail Carnival. The three cruises I have taken my girls on I have never paid full price on the 3rd and 4th guest. I agree with the one poster that they do indeed increase the price of the adult fares. We just usually pay the taxes for my girls. They are 7 and 5 now. Check NCL also! I have never cruised with them, however I I did have a booking at one point last year and they were running the 3rd and 4th guest free promotion.

  3. I also sail Sunday. Don't think Amber Cove next Thursday is happening! I figure there will be an itinerary change - maybe Western instead? As long as the ship sails I'm on vacation and don't care!

I'm leaving Sunday onboard the a Carnival Magic. I would gladly accept Cozumel or any of the other western ports at this point if we can't do Grand Turk or Amber Cove due to the hurricane.

  4. Bottled water is consistent quality. Tap water is not. I find ship water is drinkable, my spouse does not. Regardless, when we travel, we rely upon bottled water. Not exactly a luxury. Besides, my comments are not about the carry on ban. I get that. My comments are about the price.

I saw your point from the outset. It's funny how people really don't thoroughly read through the comments or threads.

  5. I have a Carnival MasterCard. As long as you pay for your entire trip using the MasterCard you get basic travel insurance on your trip. I mention this because I have come to find out that many credit card companies offer such protections in some form.

  6. Yes they have a tour and draw too. They sometimes have samples of treatments throughout the cruise too' date=' like a quick neck and back massage, to try and tempt you to book the real thing. I am a lover of the thermal suites on NCL, so you should definitely look at that and consider booking a pass for that. It is such a relaxing place to spend time and I usually use it once or twice per day.[/quote']

Thanks so much for telling me this. Do you know the prices of the Thermal suite passes?

  7. Hello I had a question for anyone out there. In September of 2017 I will be taking my first NCL cruise on board the Escape. I usually cruise with Carnival, and I had a question about the spa services. On Carnival on the day of embarkation they have a walk through, along with a raffle with credits for spa services, and even they have promos if you book the same day. I was curious to know if NCL have a similar system in place?

  8. Ok please do that. You're right crime knows no address. Every major city, small city, and town has its problem areas. I'm going to do my research and make the best possible decision for my family and myself. I'm just trying to save some green to a reasonable degree where I can.

  9. I know this has been asked in the past, a trillion times probably but I am looking for something up to date.

I am looking for a Miami hotel with park and sail offers, we have stayed in a few hotels in Miami on vacation so know it reasonably well but we need a park and sail with shuttle to the port, they don't seem to shuttle you back for some reason so don't want to be too far from the port and have to spend $$$$$ on a cab to get back to the hotel to get our car.

I have found some places on line all circa $200-250 so I am OK with that, but wondered if anyone had a recent recommendation please?

Hello how are you? If you come across anything hotel wise could you please post. I will be driving from NC down to Miami in September of 2017 and I would like to get a cruise package myself. I did this same thing this past December 2015 leaving from port Canaveral. I had a thought of doing everything separately. Meaning maybe booking through price-line for my room for a night. I found a cheaper parking rate than the port of Miami at a company by the name of safe cruise parking. I just have to check and see if they are legit. If I come across anything else I will let you know. Please do the same if you do also please.
