  1. Hi. I just requested to join your group as well. I’ve been doing Keto for the last year. Love it. We had 3 cruises last year and I didn’t manage to stay Keto [emoji15]. The first cruise I was able to jump right back on after and lost the 7 pounds I gained right away. The 2nd cruise took a little longer and 3rd was bad break up with Keto lol.

I cruise again in Feb. now my husband is on Keto. That has made things easier at home. Of course he’s lost weight quick. The only fail he has is he can’t not eat popcorn at the movies. I’m pretty sure he won’t stay Keto on the cruise either. I want to try more this time. I hated how hard it was last time to get back to it.

The bad issue right now is I’m having gall bladder issues. Has anyone else had this issue? I’m not supposed to eat fatty stuff which is a big part of Keto. Keto is literally the only “diet” which I have been able to actually stick to so I don’t want to give it up. Of course they want me to get it removed but the issue with that is the time off work. I have cruises planned which are taking all my PTO.

Yes first cruise was last year and I’m totally addicted. Luckily my husband also feel in love with cruising

  2. I was on this sailing too. I had a good time regardless but was very disappointed by the changes. I think it could have been handled way way better. I honestly felt being told during muster put us in an unsafe situation. People got very very upset cussing and yelling. I actually got elbowed by a guy in From of me throwing a tantrum. I was not hurt just shocked. Having excursions cancelled was such a bummer. We tried the replacement excursion for Freeport and it wasn't what was described and felt like a waste of time and money. Being told within an hour of our scheduled arrival to Freeport that we would be 4 hours late was ridiculous. They knew before that. I wrote to carnival a few days ago. I had a discrepancy on our bill but also mentioned some of the issues we had. I'm not looking for a refund (other than the charge we shouldn't have had on our bill) but I would be more willing to give Carnival a try again should we receive a percentage off a future cruise. This was our first experience with carnival. Again we made the best of it and had fun. The food was good. The comedy club was good. Communication was awful. I understand why the changes were made, I appreciate being kept away from a hurricane but it could have been Handled much better.

  3. I too was on the Sept 3 Pride cruise. Also on a free cruise, through a casino (although we spent plenty of money and paid for an upgrade). I was very disappointed over the change in itinerary, we chose this for the itinerary. I do think the timing of them telling us about the changes was bad. Muster was already rough, being in very close quarters with alot of people, it was hot...then upon the announcement, people went crazy, yelling cussing and I even got elbowed by a guy in front of me throwing a tantrum. Very poor timing. No option of rescheduling, but in all honesty I wouldn't have rescheduled, I was already off work! I chose to go with the flow and we still had a good time. Again, they could have handled things so much better though with better communication and better timing. We also found out about an hour before our scheduled arrival to Freeport that we would be arriving 4 hours late, again they had to have known sooner than that...also all excursions cancelled. They had another excursion, which we did, but it was not as described. I have written to customer service, mostly because we have a charge on our bill that I dont recognize, but I did mention some of the communication and timing issues, but also mentioned we did enjoy ourselves, and Brandon the cruise director was great, the comedy shows were awesome. Im not trying to or expecting to get any money back, but I would certainly take a discount for a future cruise, and honestly just to get a reply back and acknowledgment would be great. Its been a few days since Ive written and Ive gotten no response yet. Oh and it was rough the one day, it woke me up from me being tossed across the bed, but i didnt mind that at all. It was fun to me, I had meds just in case, but didnt need them.

  4. Cruising out of Ft Lauderdale in November. We are coming in the day before and would like to have a beach day since we arrive early in the morning.

We are not picky but would prefer ocean front hotel reasonably priced, worn is ok but want it clean of course and within walking distance of restaurants.

I'm thinking I would prefer a boardwalk so Hollywood area but not set on that.

    Thank you!

  5. Just finished our first cruise and we were surprised by all the people who approached us trying to sell dining packages. We were approached for 3 days by several different people in several different places onboard. We did purchase the buy one get one free. The meals were good but then we ate in the MDR and in windjammer and those meals were good as well. We will not pay extra to eat at the specialty restaurants again. Again they were good but didn't wow us in anyway. No need to pay extra

  6. Hi booked this hotel for our night before cruise.

We are flying in to FLL and sailing from POM.

This is our first cruise and first time in this area of Florida.

Anyone stay here before? Are there things to do or restaurants in walking distance?

  7. Has anyone done this excursion in Miami after a cruise?

Time is not an issue because we are staying overnight in Miami after our cruise.

I'm just wondering about our luggage though.

Would like to see the area and maybe check out the beach. We are staying at the Hilton airport but can't check in til later in the day.

  8. Way to go! I upped my fat a little and amazingly have been losing almost a pound a day. Added bullet proof coffee. Coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil and a tablespoon of kerrygold butter. I add a little heavy cream and truvia too. Gives me tons of energy
