  1. Hey everyone... Looking for a beach day that is easy to get to and NOT all inclusive as I feel we won't get our money's worth... we've done the 'pay as you go' on other beach days and it's been great. Suggestions? Less concerned about needing a pool - we are beach people... Thanks in advance!!

  2. We enjoyed our stop in Harvest Caye. TONS of chairs available on the beach - especially if you wandered farther down the beach. Prices were a bit high but reasonable - we sat on the beach, bought a bucket of beers (small bottles mind you) for $25... Lunch was about $30 or so and we didn't have to leave our beach chairs... Pool had chairs available too - swim up bar was beyond busy. We charged everything back to our stateroom - no need to bring cash or cards... Definitely could spend less than $100 for two persons for the day - unless you do the zip lining and stuff like that... Beach was coarse, but had no issues walking on it in bare feet.

  3. We had the SDP (with 4 dinners included). I pre-booked it all prior to sailing - as well as shows that we wanted to see. I did note that when trying to book times for dinners/shows it would not let me book two items that fell into the same time slot so I'm not sure how anyone can book multiple restaurants for the same time period. The reason we opted for the SDP was to avoid the main dining room (Tropicana / Taste / Savor) altogether.. and we did. The food in the other restaurants was as good as or better than the dining rooms so it made no difference to me what the menus where in the MDR on any given night... I also booked it all ahead of time to avoid wasting any amount of time on my vacation waiting in lines to make reservations or to be able to get a table for dinner... Yes, most of the time the restaurants were pretty empty when we were there but I'm sure that NCL has it's reasons for this...even if it doesn't make much sense...I would guess that they do keep some space for anyone 'paying' for dinner without the SDP.

  4. We booked our cruise through Expedia Cruise Ship centres and as such, have access to book some excursions that they recommend. We are looking one in Cozumel called 'Boat Snorkel and Playa Mia'... We are arriving on the Norwegian Getaway at the Punta Langosta terminal. Would this be the pier downtown? We don't want to have to worry about getting a taxi to venture from the pier to the excursion.. Has anyone booked this tour who also sailed into that cruise terminal? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated... (or suggestions on excursions available directly from this cruise terminal are also welcome!)
