I am on that same cruise. I do it every year and the weather is great. We enjoy snorkelling and the water is perfect. Hope this helps. Cyclone season not a threat usually at that time of year. I'm also doing the back to back out to fiji afterwards and then up to PNG.

Sydney is great for embarkation. I suggest you drop off your bags asap and then do your sightseeing. If your ship is leaving at 7pm then I would plan on being onboard no later than 5pm. OzZie

I've usually booked a year in advance or as soon as new cruise schedules are released. Just booked May 2018 and going also in April 2017, which was booked early this year.

Best cruise line to Alaska to handle dietary restrictions

I am anaphylactic to all marine products and food plus intolerant to everything in the bell pepper family. I cruise exclusively with Princess and have no problems at all. They are advised via my personal cruiser and on embarkation I'm invited to contact the Maitre D. My Head Waiter provides nightly the menu for the following day for me to chose. If there isn't something suitable on the menu then the chef prepares whatever I request.
