The only time you will get hot toast is if you make it yourself and eat immediately! Like most things in life the toast onboard is not perfect but in my opinion anything someone else cooks for me is great!

We have been on 9 P&O cruises now and have 2 booked this year. They may not be as 'glitzy' as the American ships but that is fine by me! I admit I have only seen photos of the huge American style ships but to me they just look tacky! Only been on a weekender once and that was enough! Never again! Atmosphere totally different not at all like a normal cruise. Nothing against other cruise lines and if P&O fail to please us we would jump ship!

I have no idea where my red discharge book is so not sure what I can use! Any ideas?

Believe me P & O make the best poached eggs ever! I have 2 on a piece of toast every day while on a cruise!

Exactly the reason why we always leave from Southampton! It's so much easier than flying.

What a great video! Aurora has always been my favourite ship and thankfully your video shows she has not been spoilt! Quite a few people were unsure (including me!) about the changes! Can't wait to sail on her again!

An interesting thread! We are on Adonia for the first time in December for her Christmas cruise. Mind you she will have to be very special to beat my favourite Aurora!

Everyone will be ok! We went through a force 12 on Arcadia. She is a fine ship that handles these bad storms very well. I just stayed in bed until it was all over!
-
We spent 43 nights on Aurora in a cabin very close to the aft of the ship. Never noticed any judder!

Not noticed any peacocks on any P & O ship! I would think being in headliners would be a very pleasant way to pass a few years, seeing the world and earning money!!

Always found the tv on our cruises with P & O perfectly adequate.

Just wondering why someone who dislikes P & O so much and presumably only sails with Princess would spend so much time on a forum page devoted to P & O????

Oh my goodness, a sexy legs competition! How awful. I have friends who have recently been on a couple of Princess cruises and they sounded nothing like the TV programme. Perhaps those cruises that leave from UK port are different. Have watched programmes on satellite about American cruise ship that had a belly flop competition!!!! I can't believe our American cousins really like this stuff!! It's just so old fashioned, the sort of 'entertainment' they had when I went to Butlins in the late 50s!!!!! After listening to our friends we thought we would try Princess but this programme is trying hard to put us off!!!

I have only been on Arcadia once, for 52 nights! Loved every moment. The ship was wonderful, food wonderful, crew wonderful we had a great time and I'm sure you will.
-
We had an aft balcony on Arcadia for 53 nights and for 99% of the time we had sun! At least we had sun when it was shining! Overlooking the wake was wonderful in fact going through Panama Canal we saw far more than when we went through the canal on Oceana watching from her bow.

What's an Upsell?

We had aft cabins overlooking the wake on Arcadia and loved it! We also went through a force 12!!! No problem at all! Would definitely book the cabin again.

I think it's worth staying for a while. We did the P & O trip so had refreshments. Nice shop to look at and I'm told there is a very nice walk. There was lots of snow when we went so the walk was closed but did speak with people who had done the walk and they all seemed to say it was well worth it.
