  1. we just sailed the Quest with a new internet connection. It was fast and reliable. I used twice a 24 hour flat on seadays. Even livestreams worked good. Ok, sometimes, like in the morning when a lot of people checked their mail ect. it took a little bit longer to receive things back. But still reliable.

  2. we just sailed the Quest with a new internet system. I was amazed over the performance. Even livestreams worked. If the passengers are happy with ist, Azamara will use it in the future on both ships.

  3. Yes, the statement does not cover all changes, as I pointed out above.

If you are referring to the reasons for changing Port Antonio and San Andres Island when you write "arguments are not very strong," I disagree. Would you have the ship anchor in an unsafe anchorage? Are you better qualified to judge the safety of other possible anchorages there than the cruise line and Captain Carl? Didn't you read what passengers said about the earlier stop at Port Antonio? And that Captain Carl specifically called Miami to report the issues at that port? I'm pleased that Azamara was so responsive in reacting to that situation and making the change on such short notice.

Sorry when I wrote it in a strange way. Sometimes it goes wrong when you want to translate your thoughts from one language to another. It's even more complicated when you still fighting the jet lag... The arguments for changing the ports are good, no question about it. For me the arguments about the mistake with Labadee are not that strong. And also that nothing was mentioned about the other changes.

  4. As mentioned before, the statement does not cover all changes. For me the arguments are not very strong. Also nothing is mentioned about whether there might be a compensation i.e. therefore, that people now have to use a ferry from Cozumel. I don't know, but do you have to buy tickets to use it? Anyhow we are looking forward to our first cruise with Azamara.

  5. This change is done because at least one German TA, which booked for a group of Germans, complained about the former changes. We were looking forward to go to Jamaika and not to Labadee! But we were already told two days ago from our TA that Jamaica will come back on the itinerary.

  6. Hello from Germany and Happy Thanksgiving!

For us and some other people were some of the ports real interesting because they are not offered very often in one cruise and specially not by German Cruiselines. So we were really looking forward to that cruise. And then Azamara changed a lot of ports. Until Tuesday I did not know about this board and about some ports. Anyhow, we like to discover a few things ourselves. But for us it is even more disappointing when things are changed, because it is not only the cruise we booked. We have to get to Miami, book there accomondation, hire a car etc etc... For us this means we fly on Sunday (if Lufthansa will have service on that day...) and stay four nights before our cruise will start. And then several changes until it comes to a point that the cruise might not be interesting anymore. We are happy to go to Jamaica instead to Labadee. Might be that we change mind when we have been there...

San Andres Island is changed because of the maintenance work at the pier there. Playa del Carmen is removed for a longer stop at Cozumel going together with a beach party in the evening. And the removal of the stop at Colon goes together with Playa del Carmen as an optimization of the route as our TA mentioned to us.
