We will dock in Havensight (West Indies) port.  Should we take a taxi? Public bus? Thank you for your advice!

My mother and I do not wish to get a taxi nor pay for a day pass.  We just want to get off the ship and walk to a nearby beach.  I have read that there is one past the Amber Cove entry and to the left, then down a hill.  Correct?  Or no?  If no, what else can we do?  Is it public access? Thank you for your advice!

Is texting onboard still .50 to send and .05 to receive?  Tried three times to ask Verizon customer service and they did not have a straight answer.  Thanks!

I have contacted Verizon three times but still do not have a satisfactory answer.  Do you know if it is true that texting while on board costs .50 to send and .05 to receive?  Used to be but I need to be sure.  I am a teacher playing hooky from school and even though a competent friend will be my guest teacher, I need to stay connected just in case she has questions.

Hi everyone,

Six of us will be sightseeing but the Viator trip leaves at 9:00 a.m. Too early, I think. Therefore, we are planning on Ubering to a few sites around town. Any luck or experience with this? Will they pick up at the port? And can we leave our luggage at the port for a fee? OR can we just hire a driver for the day?

We have successfully Ubered around Manhattan and L.A. but have no experience in Montreal. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't really want to rent a van since we are only going there and back. Does anyone know if there is something similar to Uber? Or taxi service? We can split into 3 and 4, if needed. Also, how expensive would that be from the cruise port to Louisbourg?

Thanks for the info. It will be a Friday since we are arriving Thursday afternoon and that day, we are going to the Aquarium and riding the Duck. We board the ship Saturday morning, so the only time for a day trip is Friday. I think we will just stay in the city.

What do you think of the Duck? We have teens with us.

Hmmm...okay. Should we go to Plimouth Plantation? Have you been? Sounds easier just to stay in Boston. No trains or shuttles go south?

We are a family of five traveling to Boston, staying a few days, then boarding the Veendam for a cruise to Maine and Canada. If we do not rent a car in Boston, what are the best ways to get to Plimouth Plantation for the day? Thank you for your advice.
