If I read the basic policy correctly, which I have, it refers to immediate family. I'm not too concern about having to cancel and rebook for myself, it's for our friends who were going with us. They also have the basic insurance policy, but I'm not sure if they qualify under the terms of cancelling. This is why I posed the question about "rescheduling" our reservation.

Thanks for the responses. I did buy the insurance when we booked. I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with rescheduling a booking, rather than just cancelling.

I am aware of NCL's cancellation policy, but wondering if they will accommodate rescheduling a cruise due to a death in the family? Our departure is in 2 weeks, and was informed through Hospice today that a family member has about 2 weeks. I have a bad feeling that we will have to cancel, but would like to reschedule to another date.

We are undecided on the excursion in Tortola to Jost Van Dyke. I read it's a 45 minute catamaran ride. My question is how rough is the ride to get there? We took a similar excursion before and half the boat got seasick.

We have made the final payment. We are working with a NCL person, waiting on a response. Just wondering how successful the negotiation could be asking for extras. We are in a mini suite now, so I am not expecting an upgrade to the Haven. We have the beverage & dining package, wondering if we could get Wifi added. Just wondering if others had similar experiences.

We have a cruise coming up with adjoining rooms so we too can share the balcony space. I've heard the dividers can't be removed while sailing. Wondering if this is true?

The price for our cruise dropped after we booked. Can we expect anything from NCL to compensate for the difference.? We are wondering if they would provide free Wifi or onboard credits? What has been your experience? Thanks!

Thanks ljrfrm for the tip using the app to make reservations. I had visions of racing between getting the Vibe tickets and reservations to the comedy shows before they sell out. I'm not familiar with iConcierge. I'll have to look that one up!

Thanks, ljrfrm, I followed your posts from last week. We debated between the Haven and a mini suite. We decided on a mini suite and want to get the Vibe tickets. I enjoyed your posts! Can't wait to enjoy my cocktail, enjoying the Vibe! We are first time NCL cruisers. Freestyle dining and reservations for entertainment is new to us. We booked the broadway shows in the theater, just not sure about the supper club.

So what's the difference between the paid cabaret show vs the rotating entertainment? I have read mixed reviews. Wondering if paying for the dinner show is worth it.

For those who recently cruised on the Escape, what was the entertainment for the Supper Club? We made reservations for when we go in January, but were informed contracts were still being finalized so the entertainment act wasn't known. Heard the Jersey Boys was a recent act, which would be great.

I am aware of the policy with NCL regarding bringing bottled water onboard, which I can understand for security reasons. What I don't understand is having to purchase water when we have the ultimate beverage package. Seems odd that they call it that ("ultimate")when bottled water isn't even included. Does NCL allow personal water bottles that we can refill at the restaurants? If yes, how is the quality of the water?
