  2. 1 ounce wimpy shots....Most bars will give you 1.5, so you're getting 22 drinks for your 80 bucks. And you'll need to bring soda on to mix with the rum. So, you're paying just under 4 bucks per drink. And you're stuck with rum and coke. If I drink 10 a day with Cheers, I am paying 5.75 per drink. And I am not stuck with rum and coke only. And the drinks at Alchemy have more than 1.5 ounces per.

    Do that math.

A "shot" is 1.5 ounces, so yeah 33 rum and cokes. Secondly, you only get 15 drinks a day, which you spent 120 on for 30 drinks. It's cool to each there own, cheers

  3. When we took our kids, on another Cruiseline, they were 18, 20 & 23. They were in an inside about 6 rooms away! As long as your on the same Deck you should be fine. When are you going & what ship>?

We leave April 30th on Breeze. They had a WAY foward balcony, my wife is prone to motion sickness though she didn't get sick last cruise. We like midship, to avoid it all together.

  4. We have our stateroom next door to the kids. My wife is having second thoughts about the arrangement. We were budget minded and selective when we booked (adjoining interiors mid ship) Now we find ourselves, really second guessing the interior and even being that close to the kids hahaha. Seriously though, balcony or even ocean view is what we are used to. We are so bad! How hard is it to upgrade 3 months out?

  5. LOL, don't fool yourself. It is much more about supply and demand. The Vista is their newest ship which will demand a higher cruise fare. Galveston is one of their most popular ports with over 5 million people within a 3 hour drive.

5 million people in 3hr drive?!? There are 7 million in Houston metro alone. More like three times that number. Besides the small cruise terminal, Galveston is a great port. Florida only has the 3 day advantage to Nassau. Loving it

  6. Pretty concerned about all this American table menu talk in the MDR. Now we were on Triumph in 2015 and loved the "Didjas" along with the other fare. We leave on Breeze in April and really hope the MDR menu hasn't changed much. I dont need a full menu, but would like to know if I can get escargot and alligator fritters. We have the kids this go-round, I cant wait to watch them try the frog legs!!!!

  7. Thank you everyone for your replies! We are super excited, only 109 days left!!!Y'all have helped set our minds at ease. We will certainly be prompt to get a ticket. I am personally looking forward to a speedy tender(I have speed boat in my mind, don't ruin it...haha) April 30th 2017 Carnival Breeze woohoo!

  8. Great Information, thank you. We are planning a cave tubing/zipline tour with the outfit that actually does carnival excursions. We went direct with them saved about half by doing so (there are 5 of us so it added up). I guess I must weigh my options stand in line or save a couple hundred...LOL We've been told about the "tourist compound" in Belize City. Thank you again!!!

  9. This our first family cruise, I think we picked a good ship for our busy family(Carnival Breeze). Lots of stuff to do on board. While this isn't our first cruise, it is the first cruise that has a tender port. Does anyone have any tips or advice on tender boats? We are not booking a "carnival excursion" in Belize city. My wife is a little concerned with getting to and from the ship. Thank you in advance
