We're shortly going on a Caribbean cruise to the Lesser Antilles ending in Barbados with P&O on Britannia. Does anyone know if the ship stocks East Caribbean and Barbados Dollars or are US Dollars the recommended currency for all the islands?

Can anyone recommend a suitable travel insurance company that meets the requirements of P&O apart from the one they suggest, i.e. Holiday Extras. We're both over 65 with my husband being a diet-controlled diabetic. I've asked for a couple of quotes which seem extortionate for 18 days - perhaps I'm going wrong somewhere. Any advice would be appreciated. :)

We'll be booking a balcony cabin on Britannia's Oct/Nov caribbean cruise from Southampton to Barbados. To ensure the best chance of getting sun on the balcony on the way there, is port or starboard the best bet? :)
