  1. Going to be on St. Lucia in June and looking for a nice relaxing beach to just hang out on. Things we are hoping for: Shade, economical food and drinks, nice water and sand, relaxing environment. Anybody have any good suggestions?

Definitely Anse L'Ivrogne beach located at the base of Gros Piton

Carib Beach Bar offers amazing food & drinks

You can lounge around on the beach & rinse off at the natural springs... a short walk from the beach

Send them an email at zionlionfarm@gmail.com

& they will handle all the arrangements for you

    Enjoy Saint Lucia !

  2. I just emailed Spencer as we had this booked for April. He said, yes, this is now not a tour anymore since he has had to send another boat to bring people back to the ship which was not cost effective. I noticed that Celebrity is not offering this as an excursion. I feel since I am already doing Mt. Liamuiga in St kitt, the next day doing the Piton may be a little extreme so perhaps it is a blessing. I think the best way to do this is by boat because you can start quicker than if you travel by land where it takes a while to get there (although the starting point for the land entrance is higher on the trail). Disappointing but understandable as a cost measure.

Indeed it's quicker by boat as apposed to land.

Water taxi is 40 mins (fast) & one hour (relax) each way but I would say whether you hike up to a quarter, half way or to the top the views are truly breathtaking & you could always relax on the beach & get a drink or something to eat right after your hike.

Enjoy Mt. Liamuiga none the less!

  3. Hello,

Any thoughts on an excursion for hiking Gros Piton? We have used Spencer Abrose in the past, but his website states that that tour does not exist anymore.

    Thanks!

    Hi amunhbuu !

Check out Zion Lion Farm. They would be glad to assist you which includes water taxi pickup at the port to Anse L'Ivrogne or Yakahu Bay where you can hike Gros Piton from sea level with friendly & knowledgeable guides.

You also have the option of grabbing breakfast or lunch & drinks at the Carib beach bar. Truly exceptional creations being served.

  4. Hey Gemi.. Have you done that tour while cruising? It looks fantastic but I am not sure it is doable when on a cruise Alos where would you pick up the water taxi if coming from the port?

No I haven't but it is doable as long as you adhere to time (1 hour 45mins-2 hours maximum round trip from port Castries to Anse L'Ivrogne) & as a plus you have the breathtaking views from the sea along your journey.

Water taxi will pick you up at port Castries.

send them an email ; zionlionfarm@gmail.com & they will be glad to handle everything for you according to your specifications

    Hello dancersp119

Carib beach Bar at Anse L'Ivrogne would be ideal based on your wishes

They offer really remarkable Farm to table food & flavorful drinks

Lounge around in the sun on one of St.Lucia's most picturesque beaches, go for a swim in the warm sea or even rinse of at the natural springs

Check them out on trip advisor

Whichever you choose, Savor the moment!

  6. Hi bzbintc !

You should definitely check out Yakahu Bay (Anse L'Ivrogne/Sevoigne)

You could take a water taxi from port & see magnificent views of the pitons & go have lunch at the foot of the pitons at Yakahu bay

Zion Lion Farm offers truly amazing farm to table food

You could also request their Farm Tour or Carib Cuisine Workshop

    The possibilities are endless

Whether it be snorkeling the bay which is an experience on its own, or a river excursion, bathing in the all natural spring, maybe a short hike up Gros piton ( not necessarily to the top) or even just lounging in the sun waiting on lunch

    It's truly remarkable!

Whichever you deicide ; do enjoy !

  7. Hi CruiseLoris

The volcanic mud bath is amazinggg and a must do in St.Lucia

The all natural sulphur provides a number of health benefits for skin and isn't overly smelly at all

There are rest room facilities to change and shower after the bath

    Your girls should enjoy !

The only downside would be the long waiting lines that are sometimes created by the crowds of people coming in the area

An alternative would be the magnificent Sapphire Falls & Jungle Spa which specializes in warm waterfall baths, massages, and also mud baths

Whichever you choose, make the most of it !
